2 Neue Obermayerstraße, 86609, Donauworth
Been here?
This chargeable site is a practical, mostly quiet parking area about 10 minutes on foot from Donauworth’s centre, though construction is currently ongoing. The fee is 1 euro per day, with flat asphalt pitches, disposal facilities and electricity; water and waste disposal are currently free. Urban traffic and nearby railway traffic can create noise, but nights are usually quiet. A public toilet is about 500 m away, and the site is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

We only emptied and filled up. We did not stay because we were passing through. You no longer have to pay for the water. Great service. Thank you, city!
Not particularly beautiful but practical. Good for visiting the city. Very quiet at night. Unfortunately, the strip along the Danube is completely littered with people and the toilet paper that comes with them. Payment is cashless via app or with coins.
Another ugly pitch in a large parking lot. At least the pitches are not too narrow. Payment by coins only, like in the Stone Age. There is currently a construction site at the edge. Other cities do this much better. Honestly, who would want to stay there for 5 days?
Excellent location for an overnight stay. Beautiful little town. Peaceful night. Highly recommended.
construction on going but close to centre and plenty of space, 1 euro per day, max 5 days. water and waste have been overridden by the city with a push button so water and waste currently free of charge
Being close to the city center is a plus, but urban traffic is inevitably a little noisy. On the other hand, the night is very quiet. The area currently under construction is not very welcoming, but it works for one night. Water and electricity services are working, but emptying grey water is complicated, even impossible for us with a 7.5 m vehicle. Thank you for the welcome.
Large pitches, everything you need and some things you do not. Many spaces. A separated section of a large parking lot, so naturally not much to look at. Located directly on the Danube. Currently a construction site. We spent a quiet night. Fair price.
Parking area near the city center, but there is still construction! And beware, not all electrical sockets work. There was no way to contact anyone!?.. €2 wasted...
Three stars this time because you are staying beside a construction site. It is not a problem—work has to be done somewhere—and we were hardly bothered by it. All facilities are available; what more do you want?
Thanks to the city. The construction fence is still along the Danube; otherwise, a nice site with a short walk to the old town.
Construction site, choose somewhere else for now. The Danube is nearby but not visible and is blocked off with construction fencing. Only 6 spaces available; electricity does not work. Quite a lot of passing road traffic from 6 a.m.
The site is open again. A short walk and you are in the city. Water, disposal, and electricity columns. €7.50 for 24 hours.
Parking occupied by a circus from September 17 to 21, 2025.
The parking lot is closed from September 11, 2025 at 6 p.m. We only wanted to park for 1–2 hours and see the city. We would still have had to pay the full 24-hour parking fee, so we drove on. Dear city administration, surely this can be improved?
Because of the construction site and freight-train noise, this is only a partially usable motorhome site.
Simple parking area but close to the city center. Quiet at night.
Actually a great place directly on the Danube, with the option of sitting on the embankment. Currently blocked off by a construction fence, so it is less attractive. But it has a good location within walking distance of the city and a small bathing lake 3 km away.
Beautiful motorhome site near the city center. The ticket can be purchased via Parkster. It seems all the sockets work, and the water and wastewater facilities are also operational. You really cannot complain here. Some people complain that you have to pay twice because the tickets only run until midnight. In the app, you only need to select motorhome, and the ticket then runs for exactly 24 hours.
Area with all services, but it is impossible to discharge grey water if you do not have a side outlet. Coins are required to pay the €7.50, as no other payment method is accepted—not the app or a card. Close to the city, and we did not hear any noise during the night.
Excellent motorhome area; we stopped on July 15 and 16. Just a few steps from the center of this charming town. The only drawback is that the Camper Service area is difficult to use for grey-water discharge. Cost €7.50 for 24 hours; electricity €1 per kWh. Water free due to faulty equipment.
Quiet place. Some of the electricity posts were defective. It was unclear how to discharge grey water. We drove right next to the chemical-toilet emptying point and then discharged the grey water into a pit.
Fine for a day trip… paved area, no possibility of anchoring. Electricity and water were only partially usable during our stop.Translating
The picture is very misleading it is a car park. currently building works are being carried out along the embankment.
Parking area very close to the town. Coin payment option requires exact money at €7.50 per day, no notes. Parkster app payment possible. Coin payment for Electric, 1€ per kWh. Service point basic but usable. Some noise from railway and nearby road. Mixed parking area. Nothing to look at. Construction work going on at the site during my visit, starting from 6.30am.
Good park up, quite full when we arrived on a Saturday night but found a space along the wall with several other campers. Very flat, fairly quiet, could faintly hear the train but didn't bother us, had a peaceful good night's sleep. Lots of services and dedicated bin for campers. €7.50 for 24 hours if you pay at machine with coins €8 if pay on app. Would recommend and would return.
