Vineyard coast, rough four-wheel-drive track

Excellent spot, ideal for spending one or two nights. The access roads are quite badly damaged and require a 4x4 or a vehicle with high ground clearance. At weekends, some locals park their vehicles to go to the beach. Quiet and relaxing place.

Beautiful place; we spent two nights here with many other campers. According to locals, there is drinking water near the beach. Access is via a bumpy dirt track, but it is manageable with a van without 4x4.

Unfortunately, it is very overgrown. Knee-high grass, and many locals use the place as a car park, to barbecue and to access the beach. No shade. The road there is somewhat adventurous, but 4x4 is not necessary; a little ground clearance is enough. We did not stay overnight and drove on.

Wonderful place. However, reaching it is very challenging when the ground is wet. Since it was expected to rain again overnight, I preferred not to stay and returned to the asphalt after a walk along the coast.

One of the most beautiful free camping spots we have ever had, but the access is recommended only for raised vehicles. 4x4 is not necessarily required, but a little courage is.

Great spot, but be careful: the road is damaged. We went through in a Sprinter. Great swimming spot above, almost alone in the world.

Beautiful beach, possible to enter with a simple caravan (Ducato) in the summer.

Best place ever. Access from main road little bit bumpy, but I managed with my vw polo, without 4x4. Just be careful. There’s a small pipe with water at the beach, to the north direction. But very slowly running. Internet only on the cliff. Beautiful view, friendly people and not so crowded. Very quiet in the night.

We spent a week on this beach; the place is charming. In summer, locals occupy the beach and put up tents everywhere. They are very friendly and respectful of the place. If you want to go down to the beach, the track is very difficult; you need a real 4x4 and should bring supplies. There is very little 4G/5G reception. Nudist beach.

A dreamlike place. If you do not dare take the road down to the beach—we stayed up top in a camper van without 4x4—you still have a phenomenal view over the coast. The road here is quite drivable in good weather, although challenging. We were alone up here last night. One motorhome seems to be parked here permanently. During the day, locals came to fish.

Nice spot next to a beautiful wild beach. Popular with locals at the weekend. Bumpy, dirt track to get there but we don’t have a 4x4 and managed it and it’s definitely worth it if you prefer the quieter beaches
