Been here?
A firm-ground wild spot in the vineyards with the forest behind you and beautiful views over the Moselle valley. It is very quiet, with mainly wind noise, though occasional vehicles, walkers and visitors may pass. Access through the vineyards is difficult when meeting traffic, especially with a 6-meter motorhome, and the route is unsuitable during grape harvest unless you leave early. Smaller vehicles such as a VW T4 manage the roads more easily.

Very beautiful place to spend the night! View over the valley and the Moselle. A wonderful route there through the vineyards. With a smaller van, such as a VW T4, the roads are no problem :) In the morning we saw a few walkers with dogs, and they were all friendly. There are benches for watching the sunset.Translating
Wonderful view of the Moselle. Very quiet; you can hear only the rustling of the wind.Translating
Getting there with a 6-metre motorhome is not easy; there must be no oncoming traffic, which is common. The car park offers a great view over the Moselle valley. 100 metres further left in the forest is a larger, level parking area where the trail begins. Drivers and hikers regularly pass by to enjoy the wonderful view of Mehring. I stayed there for three days.Translating
The road up here felt absolutely wrong because you drive through the vineyards. With oncoming traffic it is a catastrophe, BUT it is absolutely worth it. We are not here during harvest season, so far we have had no problems with anyone. On the contrary, only encouragement and comments that we are doing everything right with our rooftop tent on a station wagon. Take your rubbish with you, despite the bins.Translating
Dreamlike pitch—little appreciated by the winegrowers. During the grape harvest, please leave early.Translating
Super beautiful spot with a magnificent view.Translating
Super beautiful spot. Vehicles pass by occasionally. Please park so that there are still enough parking spaces for local residents who come here for walks, so that it is not eventually prohibited.Translating
Amazing view. We were there during the week and were the only ones. The road through all the vineyards was really interesting.Translating
Beautiful pitch! We stayed on the meadow with a view of the Moselle because we did not want to block the car spaces. Cars came by from time to time, apparently to enjoy the view. Depending on the moment, it was somewhat noisy, with music and voices. Overall, however, highly recommended. The residents were all friendly when we arrived and left.Translating
Best place on our Moselle tour. Simply beautiful. Great pitch in the vineyards. You can do an incredible amount of hiking from here. Views of the vineyards and the Moselle. Bins available. In the evening, hikers and some residents came to enjoy the view. The night was completely quiet. We were alone here.Translating
We were insulted by residents while driving up to the site. In the evening, walkers arrived, some making very disparaging comments that spending the night up there should finally be prohibited. At night, someone knocked on the vehicle. Relaxed sleep was impossible.Translating
Great spot where we spent a lovely, quiet night. A 6-metre camper can manage the approach through the housing estate in Mehring, but it is not recommended because it is very winding. Tip: drive up via Gartenstraße, then Im Blumengarten and Am Rebenhang. It is much more relaxed.Translating
