Eschulbodo 491, 3925, Grächen
Been here?
Small, family-run mountain campsite below Grächen at about 1400m, with terraced grassy pitches and mountain views. Sanitary facilities are new, spotless and consistently praised, with free hot water. There's a pool and hot tub, a nearby playground, and hiking and biking trails right outside. The village and Hannigalp gondola are reachable by bus (stop very close) or a steep 15-40 minute walk/drive. Grey water dump currently requires bringing your own container. Quiet and relaxing, though occasional flies or faint noise from a nearby cement factory were noted.

We spent a week’s holiday at Camping Grächbiel with Sarah and Reto. A beautifully landscaped site with spacious pitches. The sanitary facilities are extremely clean and new. The area offers wonderful hiking and cycling routes. There are good shopping options in Grächen. The postbus stop is three minutes from the campsite. We’ll be back.Translating
Very nicely located campsite, well-divided pitches arranged in terraces, excellent sanitary facilities, and a very friendly welcome. We would return anytime.Translating
Camping in perfect condition, very clean and organized. Upon arrival, we were kindly welcomed and given every possible explanation. I would return 100%.Translating
Camping Grächbiel is the cleanest, most organized camp site we have ever been. Sarah and her family take such good care of the camp, you feel like you are in a hotel. We decided to stay here and drive to Tasch in order to visit Zermatt, a very easy 20 mins drive and there are plenty of parking options in Tasch for campervan. Translating
A wonderful site in the middle of nature with views of the mountains. The owners are courteous and always maintain the surroundings. We will definitely come back.Translating
Small campsite, perfectly clean, quiet, and well located. We were warmly welcomed.Translating
Really deserves 6 stars and probably the best we have stayed at for welcome, facilities and cleanliness! 3 nights to relax after lots of travelling and what a tranquil place! Steep walk into Grächen by road or path but worth the effort to visit such an interesting town. Thank you to Sarah (and Husband) for your attention to detail & for making this place so special. We'd love to return.Translating
A truly wonderful and quiet campsite. We were lucky to have a spot in the front row and enjoyed a fantastic view of the valley and surrounding mountains. The owners are super friendly, love dogs, and made us feel very welcome. The sanitary facilities are clean and modern. We felt completely at home and are already looking forward to our next visit!Translating
A wonderful campsite. Gorgeous views down the valley, immaculately clean, hot showers and just a lovely place to be. Sarah (the owner) is exceptionally friendly. We’d love to go back. Translating
Excellent camping. Sarah, the owner, is very nice and helpful. The facilities are pristine. Beautiful view from all pitches. Definitely recommend.Translating
Wonderful! Great view, quiet, exceptionally attentive welcome, incredible sanitary facilities (a walk-in shower worthy of a 4-star hotel). Excellent location near Täsch, a starting point for Zermatt and the Matterhorn area.Translating
Perfect! We have never stayed at such a clean campsite! The service is also excellent!Translating
We had a very pleasant stay at the small, very personally run campsite. You can tell it is operated with passion. The view of the mountains was beautiful. We will definitely come back.Translating
A very well-maintained and clean campsite with spacious grassy pitches. Very good treatment from the couple who run it. The only drawback is that we had a huge number of flies, perhaps because there was a herd nearby—a shame, because otherwise it is a very good campsite. It is probably perfect at another time of year.Translating
Beautiful small campsite! Modern and clean sanitary facilities, including hot water. Bread delivery service is also available. The couple running it is very nice and committed. We would be happy to come back!Translating
Very clean campsite. Immaculately clean bathrooms and showers. Free hot water. Sink area and washing machine. Very flat and spacious pitches. I’m not giving it 5 stars because it is far from the village of Grächen (5 minutes uphill by car on winding roads), and the bus has to be paid for in cash with Swiss francs and is expensive. It is also far from Täsch (20 minutes by car), where you take the train to Zermatt. The lady is very kind.Translating
Very beautiful, small, and quiet site, with a great view, excellent sanitary facilities, and a genuinely friendly, personal welcome from Sarah.Translating
The sanitary facilities are new and very clean. We stayed from July 12 to 16, 2025, with a rooftop tent, our 5-year-old daughter, and a dog. We felt very welcome and comfortable. We enjoyed the swimming pool, eating ice cream by the pool, and the playground is right behind the hotel. The couple is very committed and courteous and takes plenty of time for guests. We would be happy to come back.Translating
We spent one night with our van and were warmly welcomed by Sarah, who is helpful, available, and very attentive. The sanitary facilities are spotless, and this place offers peace and quiet in a magnificent landscape. We recommend it!Translating
We spent two nights at this beautiful campsite with spectacular views. It opened in May of this year and is very quiet. Sarah and her husband were excellent and very friendly hosts, and you can tell they take care of every detail. In short, a highly recommended campsite for visiting the Zermatt area, as it has good connections by both train and bus. Thank you for everything!Translating
