Been here?
A peaceful riverside campsite on the Rur, in a calm village setting with friendly operators. The large, clean sanitary building has good showers, while the original facilities lacked soap and hand dryers. Riverside pitches are popular and may fill first; the nearest shop or bakery is 4.5 km uphill, though restaurants are nearby. The site is also close to a railway line, which is generally quiet at night.

Lovely campsite! We stayed here for one night with our campervan while passing through. We arrived around 7 p.m. and could still get a place. The spots by the water were already full. Large, clean toilet block. Charming village and pleasant campsite.Translating
Very nice place. Wonderfully peaceful and very friendly owners. One large, new, clean sanitary building with good showers. No shop or bakery; for those you have to go to a village 4.5 km away, uphill. We were lucky to find a spot in the second row. For a place by the water, it is better to reserve. The restaurant is also excellent!Translating
A very beautiful, idyllic and peaceful place. I only intended to stay one night, but it became three. I would gladly come back.Translating
Very idyllic location, friendly operators and pleasantly quiet. Sanitary facilities and washing-up room very clean. Unfortunately there are few tucked-away corners, but if you arrive early enough and get a place by the river, it is still lovely.Translating
The location is beautiful, directly on the Ruhr. Restaurants are very close. Friendly contact on site. €63 for two nights for two people, one dog and a van. Sanitary facilities are very bleak but serve their purpose.Translating
Unpretentious little campsite, mostly with seasonal caravans. Riverside grounds where you can park your camper. Very friendly welcome and very clean sanitary facilities.Translating
Beautiful, peaceful campsite with about 40 pitches; the welcome was friendly. Showers and toilets are clean, and you can shower for as long as you like. Definitely worth repeating.Translating
Not too large a campsite in a quiet village. The grass field for short stays is not very big but is beautifully situated. Not cheap: €41 per night for two adults, a child and a dog.Translating
Beautiful place. Peaceful beside the gently flowing river. A spot right by the river with electricity cost €46 for two adults and two children.Translating
Very friendly operator and groundskeeper. You can park directly on the meadow beside the river. A railway line runs past the site, but it is not very loud and is quiet at night. There are lovely walking routes and you can swim in the Ruhr. No toilet paper, but acceptable for the price. Otherwise very clean. Depending on the pitch, you need a long power cable, but the groundskeeper can help.Translating
A beautiful place! You park on a lovely meadow directly beside the Rur. If there were toilet paper, it would get five points. We would gladly come back!Translating
Greatly located by the river and close to the old town, clean, with an extremely friendly and relaxed groundskeeper. Access to the sanitary building is by a borrowed key. Bring your own toilet paper! Wi-Fi is a little weak, which matters because there is often no mobile reception in the area. I would gladly return anytime. Ideal place for hikers and climbers.Translating
Very nice site directly on the Rur. Friendly and helpful staff. However, there is neither toilet paper nor towels, so you must bring them. New service building, but very small shower cubicles. Old washing-up room with very low sinks, unsuitable for taller people. Overall, not very clean.Translating
Quiet, well-maintained, clean and spacious showers with no coins required, and a friendly, helpful owner. Simply excellent.Translating
Quiet site directly beside the river. Sanitary facilities are okay, but you have to bring your own toilet paper and towel. In June we paid about €30 per night for two people with a motorhome.Translating
