Il Pilone

From the outside it looks beautiful, and the website makes it look beautiful too. But the pitches are all crammed together and resemble a favela. Cost €53, and the pool is extra. Not recommended.

Convenient campsite near a beautiful sea. Friendly and helpful owners. Very large, comfortable pitches. Nice, clean bathrooms. Convenient dumping and filling facilities. Very quiet. Easy access. Public transport nearby. Restaurant and small grocery shop on site. Problems. Very expensive.

Very noisy campsite day and night; pitches crammed together and dusty; pool and sun loungers cost extra, swimming caps mandatory; very crowded; one star for the friendly staff!

Occupied year-round by Italians, so the motorhome pitches are as large as those at a motorhome park! One motorhome, two adults and two dogs for three nights, including a €5 ACSI discount: €157!! Without using the pool! The beach is not attractive; dogs can swim on the rocky section without bothering anyone. Ideal location for visiting the surrounding area. Unpleasant staff who make no effort!!!!!

Large campsite, as described. Ideal for families, with an entertainment program and some very loud announcements during the day, a pool for an extra fee and swimming caps required. Beach not recommended, hence only three stars.

Very good family campsite. Lots of activities. Right by the beach, so convenient. Well organized. The pool is warm and large. Sports fields...

Large, well-shaded campsite. Clean bathrooms, with many long-term residents bringing the site to life. Friendly and competent staff. The campsite overlooks a very beautiful sandy and rocky beach.

Four or five stars for the staff's courtesy and the quality of the restaurant and pizzeria food. But 90% of the campsite is occupied by long-term residents; although the facilities are always clean, they are not new; all beach services cost extra (if available, an umbrella and two loungers cost €35); and above all, the total cost is disproportionate: €185 for three nights for a motorhome with two adults and one child.

The pitch was fine. Old but clean sanitary facilities. Toilets without seats, as usual. Directly by the sea, and dogs are even allowed on the beach. The site is 90% designed for permanent campers, with almost everything built up. The staff, except at reception, do not speak English. The minimarket was great and inexpensive, with everything you need. The waste area is only open at certain times. Staff members are stationed everywhere. The pitch was relatively expensive: €90 for two nights with a dog, which alone costs €8 per night. There is a fenced dog area that is not worth mentioning. It has no grass, only sharp stones, and is in full sun, so the dog has to relieve itself on the lawns where it is forbidden.

Very large campsite with everything one could want: bar, restaurant, pool, beach nearby, and the advantage of being open before June 1. But there are many permanent residents. We were still happy to find it...

Very large campsite with around 90% permanent campers. We stayed five days in May: very clean sanitary facilities; spacious pitches separated by hedges; simple but functional motorhome service point; very friendly staff and well-stocked minimarket; location directly by the sea; all paths paved and clean; insect spraying against mosquitoes takes place at night.

Positive: clean sanitary facilities, inexpensive beach bar, mostly nice beach, shady pitches. Negative: unfriendly staff, full of mosquitoes, expensive, huge with many permanent campers (more ghetto than camping), at 10 p.m. insecticide is sprayed over a large area by a loud truck, noisy entertainment (and noisy participants). We like many places, but we will certainly never return to Il Pilone.

Basically a nicely designed site, but it is so crowded here... Everyone is packed tightly together on the pitches, and the pool costs extra. Fine for one night and a shower, but I would definitely not stay longer.

Very large campsite, but 90% occupied by permanent residents in caravans and tents. Few spaces for traveling campers. The beach closes at 11 p.m.; you cannot leave or enter after that time. The pool is open continuously and costs extra. All in all, a nice place, plenty of shade, and clean facilities and beach.
