D90, 24360, Varaignes
Been here?
This shaded parking area beside a small stream is close to the Château de Varaignes, with a lavoir, water wheels, a football field and walking or cycling opportunities. The ground is flat, although access is sloping; a less steep entrance is available, and heavy rainy days should be avoided. Toilets have been reported open and clean, but there are no bins, and mosquitoes may be present at night. The streams are shallow but require attention around children.

Very nice and with a signal (Orange). There is another less steep entrance suitable for all vehicles.
One of the most beautiful places where we have slept! Despite being close to the road, there was no traffic at night and the surroundings are magnificent. At this time of year, it is perfect!
Nice place developed by the town hall, I suppose, because it feels like being on private property. We spent one night without anyone chasing us away. Flat ground. Streams everywhere. Be careful with children even though they are not deep. Also remember mosquito repellent.
Superb place, especially ideal with children. Washhouse, football field, little streams—excellent. Be careful on rainy days; stay well on the gravel.
Very nice, quiet little spot, shaded, with frogs and dragonflies, a washhouse, and clean open toilets with toilet paper beside the stadium. Very nice bakery. No rubbish bin, so please leave it clean. Mosquitoes at night, though.
