Chemin des Paluds, 13500, Martigues
Been here?
Seafront parking with water views, a stone beach and a relatively quiet night after locals leave. The entrance is limited to 1.90m, although vehicles up to 2m can pass; taller vehicles can park farther away. Camping is prohibited, and bins are nearby. A shop is within a short walk but slightly overpriced, so bring what you need.

Very quiet, with a wonderful night in September 2025 and a beautiful view of the water and morning sun. The height restriction says 1.90 m, but 2 m fits through. There is plenty of space in front for taller vehicles, but then you are farther from the water and bins. Pebble beach! You can swim barefoot at the slipway.Translating
Perfect spot, quiet and by the sea. I spent one night there in September and it was perfect. Bins nearby.Translating
Spent the night of November 10, 2024, and it was great—magnificent view upon waking, absolutely fantastic!Translating
Camping and overnight stays prohibited. A sign is already posted at the top of the access road. You can turn around below between the parking spaces; access height is 1.90 m.Translating
1.90 m height restriction: We could not pass with our VW van and roof tent, but we were able to park directly in front without being disturbed. Quiet and level place.Translating
Spent the night of April 24, 2024. Very peaceful and quiet despite extremely strong wind. We recommend the spot.Translating
Great place! I spent several nights there and felt very safe. The beach is a real hidden gem and visited only by local residents. The only empty beach while others nearby were completely overcrowded. Highly recommended, especially for panel vans and roof tents.Translating
We stayed two nights. Had no trouble. The height barriers have all been replaced with 1.9m ones, however we still managed to find one on a slant that we could drive under carefully with out 2m van. There are plenty of other spots to camp without height restrictions. Police cam by once but payed no attention to the campers anywhere. Nice location.
Spent one super warm night in July here. No facilities but access to the water and good views. Some other campers and locals showing up in the morning, not so quiet.
Rather flat parking area with a beautiful sea view. No shade, but bins are available. A few people swim, but the place is very quiet. Perfect for a few nights.Translating
Great spot with a splendid view. We went under the 1.90 m barrier with a van; it was very tight, but we made it. No noise during the night; we were the only ones staying there. Bins available.Translating
