Quiet place to spend the night, level ground and beautiful monastery ruins. Friendly people; we had a perfect night.
Good place to spend the night, opposite the monastery ruins, now a museum. It is level and spacious; you can park in several places, including in front of the ruins. There are no services, but it is good for resting overnight.

You park on the road opposite the monastery ruins and a small park! The village is quiet, with hardly anyone around. The park has benches and bins. Absolute peace at night!
Supernice church to visit. Not a nice place to camp, nothing special and a bit dingy.
One of the places I'm extremely grateful to people who share locations! A very pleasant square, with kind neighbors and an exceptional Christian complex founded in the 11th century by French monks. Flat terrain, quiet and with a sense of extreme security. I strongly recommend!
The spot is definitely safer than other places at the foot of the Transfăgărășan. However, many barking dogs roam around the town, and the spot is directly on the road, which is used occasionally even at night. I would not call it quiet, but it is safe as long as you do not walk your own dog. Please do NOT FEED stray dogs!
A dream stopover: an extremely flower-filled and welcoming village, a particularly photogenic Cistercian abbey in the evening, and gentle tranquillity. A real delight. Thanks to everyone responsible for this welcome. Promise, tomorrow we will do the full visit, as small ponds adjoin the abbey at the back.
