2013 Chemin de la Caravelle, 87470, Peyrat-le-Château
Been here?
Free lakeside parking with approximately 10 shaded, flat spots. Magnificent lake views, close to beach and port. Trash bins and water access on site; toilets, showers, and laundry are at the nearby campsite. Can order bread. Arrive early in summer as spots fill quickly.

Very nice spot, clean, quiet, shady, and with a magnificent view of the lake.
Lovely place to spend the night and the day, very quiet and shady.
Really nice spot with everything nearby. Plenty of parking and shade.
Parking area, not 20 spaces but more like 10, nevertheless it deserves credit for welcoming us. Magnificent walk around the nearby lake.
Very pleasant. Recycling bins nearby, restaurants, water park, and beaches 200 m away. Several motorhome spaces under the trees, plus a fuel station with diesel.
Lovely spot; arrive early in summer. Right by the water and harbor. Bin on site. Flat. Thank you to the municipality for welcoming us.
Shady place for several vans and motorhomes, with recycling bins. Farther on there is a beach, and you can go to the campsite for showers and toilets. There is also a washing machine and dryer. Order bread and croissants the day before for the morning.
A place just as we like them. Thank you to the municipality for this gift.
Fine for one night, but the beach and children's playground are quite far away, so it is impossible to let children go there alone. It is better on the other side of the lake at Broussas.
Easy access, parking opposite the lake, a stone's throw from the beach, and very quiet. Bins on site. Perfect!
So good we came back from the UK - even on Bastile weekend - bins water access toilets nearby a couple of bars / restaurants nearby and the aire for MH services if you need - no shops to speak of
Quiet spot, with beach and toilets nearby, and a good restaurant too. Some of the terraces are blocked with stones, but there is still space.
We had a good, peaceful night. No services.
Very beautiful spot facing the lake, very quiet. I recommend it.
Lovely spot with a view of the lake, very quiet and fairly flat. Recycling bins nearby, a disposal area near Camping Paradis, and beach toilets 200 m away. We stayed four nights. Shopping is possible in Peyrat-le-Château, 9 km away. Thank you to the town hall for allowing us to park here.
Nice place under the trees with a sea view, very quiet at this time of year, near the sailing school and campsite.
Lots of space, flat, clean, and quiet in March. Starting point for hikes. Thank you to the municipality.
Very good spot for going to a nearby restaurant or one of the many beaches around the lake. However, many people have settled here, so if you want peace and quiet, move on.
I confirm T3VW62's message. Very good, quiet night in a very pleasant setting.
Very shady spot, just a stone's throw from the lake for swimming in the marina. A municipal order is displayed prohibiting motorhomes from parking, issued in July 2020 and reissued on 5 August 2024, but we spent the night there with about ten motorhomes without problems, despite a gendarmerie patrol. Some terraced parking spaces are blocked by stone blocks.
Very good location for MH fairly flat and shady new recycling bins arrived while we there - fab to access the water and hotel was very kind letting us have ice - there’s MH facilities water grey waste loo and Charing point up the road at the aire - ideal for a few nights and lovely spot
We had not returned for 18 months, and indeed the terraces have been closed. What a shame. The reasons were probably valid, but in summer shade is precious and the site is quite well known, so arrive early.
We spent two peaceful nights. Clean public toilets about 200 m away. Parking spaces are more or less level.
About ten spaces at the bottom. The terraces are closed with rocks. Very quiet night. No services.
All the terraces are closed with stone blocks. The nearby campsite should be avoided; it is dreadful!
Former campsite. Very leafy. The spaces are somewhat sloped. Some spaces have TV reception. Nearby there is a free boat launch. There is a very expensive petrol station. No services.
Excellent spot! Very clean! Very quiet at night! We have a 7.5 m motorhome with no problem. It must be very popular in summer. Thank you to the municipality for letting us stay, and thank you to all fellow motorhome travelers for keeping the place clean. There are rubbish containers, so it would be shameful not to use them. Picnic tables are available.
There are indeed several terraces, but some are closed with rocks. That said, it is a fairly nice spot, especially for families, with a beach and children's playground. There is a paid motorhome service area about 200 m away with all facilities, but it is closed outside the season.
