Good motorhome pitch directly on a meadow by the Oslofjord, with a sunbathing lawn and a small beach. You park in a row with caravans, seasonal campers and motorhomes—many, like us, are waiting here comfortably for the ferry from Larvik. After looking at several bare pitches in the industrial area on gravel or asphalt, this place was clearly the better choice for us.
The current price is 495 NOK for one person plus electricity—that's pretty steep!!
The site appears tidy. Reception closed, no indication of opening hours. We couldn't find any way to check in. Probably only for long-term campers. We drove on.
We were welcomed and shown a nice spot. They are strict about parking, but that leaves plenty of room. Old but clean service building. Wi-Fi and showers included in the price. Quiet and pleasant site, with lovely smooth rocks and swimming spots all around.
Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right. You can pay 420 NOK (including electricity) for one night, but then the sanitary facilities should be newer and better cleaned, there should be more on-site amenities, and the view should be better. There is a small shop with a poor selection, which also closed 30 minutes before the stated closing time. Reception was friendly and the swimming area was nice.
