Been here?
This quiet wild spot near Carcassonne lies at the end of a stony, somewhat steep path among trees, beside a water tower. Access is difficult for large or poorly manoeuvrable motorhomes, with few flat places and no shade. The clean site offers a picnic table, a bin, tranquillity, and a wide panorama including the Pyrenees.

Rocky, slightly steep access, not suitable for vehicles that are difficult to maneuver. Few flat spaces, but you can manage, and there is no shade. However, the panorama, tranquility, and cleanliness of the place are well worth the detour. And as a bonus, we had 4 out of 5 bars of 5G! Thanks for sharing.Translating
Great place with complicated access, especially for motorhomes. However, it is worth it for waking up to views of the Pyrenees. We saw two flat spaces in front of the reservoir, but they were very close together, and another flat one with access just to the right of the hedge-trimming bin. Plenty of other spaces, but they are sloped.Translating
Warning! For us, traveling in a large motorhome with a trailer, access was difficult. The slope is very steep and the road is damaged, so we turned back—what a shame. It is fine for vans.Translating
We spent one night here and it was very peaceful. There is a picnic table and a trash bin. The access road is fine.Translating
Very quiet, beautiful view, and clean. We recommend it. Ideal for one night.Translating
When we arrived at the top, it was not very flat and the spot was not particularly impressive. We did not stay. In dry weather, we were able to get up without any problems with our 5.99 m van.Translating
Easy access for vehicles that are not too heavy. The area is very quiet. The view from the upper part is fantastic.Translating
Suitable for spending a pleasant night and visiting Carcassonne the next day.Translating
Place with a very beautiful view. Recently mowed, with a picnic table and trash bin. Accessible.Translating
This spot is very quiet, away from the town without being far away, ideal for spending the night. The rocky access road is completely manageable in a van, and once you arrive, you can find an almost flat spot somewhat sheltered from the wind. Very beautiful view, orientation table, picnic table, and trash bin in good condition.Translating
I am not afraid of rocky roads, but the 10–15% climb to reach the spot… there was no point even trying! And yet I do not have one of the largest vehicles. What a shame, there is not much else in the area either.Translating
