Woodland parking, low height barrier

Lovely secluded large car park, but barrier 2M, no toilets/bins, picnic benches, wifi slow, great walks in the woods. Spent a quiet night, busy in the morning with dog walkers. George Pub 1 mile away. Noticed quiet a few car parks 2M barriers along by Goodwood racecourse, plus little laybys.

In a Renault Trafic, with cassette awning, managed to get under the 2.0 metre barrier and had an incredibly peaceful night in amongst the trees

Very Quiet & Dark park up, stayed overnight, arrived 8pm left 9am, few walkers in the morning but not till 8am. Good woods perfect for dogs. There are picnic benches and dog poo bin but no regular bin but this wasn't an issue for us. Had a great undisturbed nights sleep. We managed to get under the height barrier but if you can't then you have to park in the horsebox area.

you could stay here overnight, but where you park is designated horseboxes, so no doubt you might get stroppy horse folk early in the morning. I arrived as a couple of horseboxes were being loaded up, waited, and still got moaned at for being in the way. perfect if you can access the height restricted section. Further insult to my natural being, the forestry commission do not want you foraging.

lovely spot , parked in the same spot as the motorhome in the photos, had 2 cars come in around 10pm do a few handbrake turns but other than that it was a very quiet and very dark night. lovely forest for walking ,my dogs loved it. no walkers arrived till around 8am . would stay here again

Spot at the edge of the forest, easy to access and large enough for four motorhomes or five. But we do not recommend staying overnight. Lots of traffic and vans come to unload horses very noisily from 5 a.m.
