Mountain village area, nighttime electricity

Municipal motorhome stop now charging €5 per day. Electricity is available only in the evening when the streetlights illuminating the village come on. No shade. Otherwise, after a long, winding road, you reach a beautiful place and village at 1,000 meters above sea level.✦Translating

Very beautiful area. Weak or no signal. Electricity only at night, which would be fine, although the streetlights actually do not work and you are in the dark. In the village center it is possible to rent e-bikes. They accepted my payment later, so I could not use one. I have €12, covering four hours of e-bike rental. Lovely view, and I'm sure we would have been happy to stay if we weren't so stressed by the drive up there. The roads are horrendous. So when we got to the campsite and discovered that the electricity does not come on until the street lights do, we left. We were too hot, and the mosquitoes were massive. Watch out for tree branches, no choice but to brush them as you pass. No phone coverage at all

From the village of San Paolo Albanese, the road is not particularly difficult. The area is magnificent, with all services free of charge. Electricity works when the streetlights come on. I was here over the two Easter holidays. Simply beautiful! In my view, the approach via the hairpin bends, in an all-wheel-drive pickup, was not as challenging as described in previous comments. Two tips: Do not let the navigation system guide you into the village, or you will be lost. Just before the village, immediately behind the sports field, turn sharply right. Wonderful place! Completely surrounded by nature. The route there and back to the coast is reasonably challenging but definitely worth it. Free electricity from sunset to sunrise. Small municipal site with a very beautiful view. The pitches are wide but not intended for vehicles under 7 meters. Low water pressure, so allow time for filling up. Ground inlet for grey and black water without rinsing. The approach into the mountains is sometimes very narrow and steep. The road surfaces are unusual and damaged. After a somewhat challenging but manageable road, taken calmly and peacefully (7-meter motorhome, no problem), this is a free motorhome area. Excellent water, free filling and emptying. Very clean place, with facilities for disposing of wastewater and rubbish. There are several tables with benches and barbecue areas. I stayed here for two nights.
