Cenaret, 48000, Barjac
Been here?
A very quiet, remote gravel parking spot in nature with an excellent open view. Access involves a steep, narrow road and an incline, and is suitable only for smaller motorhomes up to 5.5 m. The site is exposed to strong wind, with occasional road noise at night. There are no services, and walks lead to a nearby viewpoint.

Beautiful view at this peaceful spot in the middle of nature! The access road is steep, and the hamlet just before arrival is narrow, so it is less suitable for larger motorhomes. The farmer drove past once; otherwise we saw no one. It is also nice to walk up to the viewpoint on top of the mountain.
Ideal, in the middle of nowhere!
Very quiet. Attention: fossils must not be collected; apparently a heavy fine is possible.
Beautiful spot with a wide-open view. On one side there is a kind of rocky slope where fossils can be found or have been found. Good walking opportunities. Very windy, naturally so on a mountain. We thought it was a quiet road, but during the night 5 cars drove past very fast and honked. It may have been a one-off. Make sure to park your van, motorhome, or tent well away from the road.
Superb view in the morning. You can hear the main road a little, but it is not bothersome.
The climb is indeed quite steep and passes through the rather narrow street of Cenaret, but it is manageable for a small motorhome, van, or large-bodied vehicle. The site can accommodate 2 to 3 vehicles and is almost flat. I think we are on old rubble, judging by the vegetation. Very exposed to the wind and in the shadow of Chastel Viel from 6:30 p.m. on May 9. Lovely walk to the summit, which is 100 meters higher.
An ideal spot, just the way we like them. Peaceful nature, the starry sky all to ourselves—perfect. An intense climb on a gravel track in 4x4 mode, but manageable in a van. A short 600-meter hike to the top of the Rock, with a magnificent view.
A heavenly place in good weather, fresh air, and peace and quiet; interesting geology and walks!
After a steep but well-maintained road, followed by a gravel track that is wide and perfectly drivable, comes the reward. Very little traffic and a beautiful, unobstructed view. Perfect for a quiet night. Don’t forget to climb the rock opposite the arrival point; a superb view awaits you, especially at sunset!
Beautiful view. Fossil site. Hiking possible.
