Been here?
A large, flat parking area near an attractive windmill and the town centre. It is quiet, clean and about 2mn from restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Potable water is available, and public toilets in the centre are well maintained. The site offers good views and is suitable for an overnight stay.

Beautiful, level spot at the back next to the mill and 2 minutes from the town center. It is a very calm and peaceful town. Cantino do Churrasco is just two steps away, with excellent food and a friendly welcome. Water can be filled on site, with plenty of taps. Very clean public toilet in the center of the square. The GNR came by and told us that two nights maximum was fine.
A wonderful find. Well done to Castro Verde for letting campers use their extensive grounds. Close to town centre restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Attractive windmill and good views. Well maintained toilets with a tap in the lobby area which one might be able to access with a longer enough hose. We spent a quiet night it’s a bit exposed if there’s high winds but one can shelter by buildings.
Quiet and clean place. We stayed alongside 10 other foreign motorhomes. A wonderful night. Castro Verde is an Alentejo town with excellent features for visitors. The site has only drinking water.
We spent one night here on a Friday evening. A lot of noise and many dogs. There is indeed water and free electricity.
We stayed for 3 days without any problems. There is a water tap on one side of the white building (from the biker group). We highly recommend visiting the windmill and meeting Mr. Antonio; you can enter for free, but you can leave a donation to help him maintain the tradition and wisdom. Thanks for sharing.
