Very convenient stopping area for visiting the village, with all services free!

I feel compelled to express my heartfelt thanks to the municipality of Mercatello sul Metauro and everyone I dealt with for this wonderful place. I had a problem with my vehicle and was allowed, or rather had to, stay there for almost a week. I always felt safe and received help from everyone. Wonderful!

Excellent free motorhome area just two steps from the charming historic centre. Flat and quiet, with electricity hookup, water and drainage, everything working, clean and free. We spent a peaceful night. Thank you to the municipality of Mercatello.

Quiet but central area. Free electricity and motorhome service point. Very interesting historic centre just steps away. A fitness trail in the woods is also just a couple of steps away in the opposite direction, towards the picnic area, followed by a lovely unpaved riverside path. You can comfortably stay more than one night.

Free area with electricity and waste-water services, a few hundred metres from the historic centre and Roman bridge. Very quiet night. There is a small football pitch next to the area. We had some difficulty entering because a car was illegally parked at the entrance.

Mercatello is a beautiful little town. I went to the car repair shop, my wife went to the hairdresser, and everything was perfect at the laundry. We replenished our supplies. We stayed here for three days.

Perfect for spending the night and enjoying a delicious dinner in the town. Very quiet and completely free. Excellent.

We stayed on 4 and 5 March. The area is still perfect, with everything free, including electricity. The village is beautiful to visit, with many walks nearby. The people are kind and welcoming. Thank you.

After a strenuous drive on state road 73bis from Sansepolcro, you finally reach this peaceful valley. There is nothing better than stopping at this rest area, which is deserted and free out of season, with waste-water and fresh-water services. I did not use the electricity, so I cannot comment on it. Excellent place, with a brand-new small fitness area and about ten spaces. Ideal for the way I travel!

Free spot with all services working perfectly. Emptying grey water is a bit tricky, but manageable. There’s no shade during the day, which can be tough in summer. However, there are beautiful hikes nearby, perfect for a day out. The town itself is charming and very well maintained—definitely worth a visit.

Almost certainly one of the most beautiful equipped areas in Italy. Completely free, thanks to the municipality. It would be nice to support the local economy; in our case, we went to a restaurant called Cacciatore, with excellent food. The only drawback is that teenagers gather in the playground in the evening—a small price to pay. After all, we were young once too. Recommended.

We had a great experience, just steps from the centre. Free water filling, drainage and electricity. We did not sleep there because we had to return home, but the place seems very quiet, with houses nearby and a children’s playground. Congratulations to the municipality of Mercatello sul Metauro!
