B1456, IP9 2AA, Ipswich
Been here?
Ipswich, B1456 is a large lay-by beside the Orwell Bridge, offering attractive bridge views and enough room for a few campers. It is easy to reach and has no restriction signs, but traffic can be noisy early and late, although it often calms around 10pm. Some nights have included loud music, litter, and people gathering in cars. The road floods on high spring tides, and supermarkets and takeaways are less than 10 mins away by car.

Great little park up. Bit noisy from cars but calms down around 10pm. Lovely spot in summer with sun beating down!
Probably the worst park up I have experienced. A lot of traffic on road early and late at night. During the night there were at least three separate occasions where people parked up and played loud music. Sounded like teenagers. Litter disgraceful. Shame gorgeous view of the bridge
Great spot I checked the others further on as mentioned in other comments but came back this has the best views a bit busy early on but as time goes by you can move to the best spot and it was quite quiet
Arrived here at around 21:30 and it had a few people just sitting in cars, plus police stopping and checking on them. Decided to stay a bit further up the road.
Great stop for lunch, few boats passing and some swans. Also popped into the Suffolk food hall 100m back. Dogs like the walk better there. 2bars signal with 3network. Slept 2 stops along
