232 Rua Picadeiro, 3500-170, Viseu
Been here?
A quiet olive-tree parking area within walking distance of Viseu cathedral and the city. It is suitable for overnight stays, with a pleasant park nearby and little traffic noise at night. Access through the narrow, winding streets can be difficult, especially with a trailer or larger vehicle, although another lower access exists. The area itself is simple and somewhat scruffy.

A beautiful, peaceful place, with the cathedral in the background and a lovely park where our little dogs could stretch their legs.
Wow!! The streets are extremely narrow, with Portuguese-style balconies—we hit our roof—and neighbours parked in a way that left no room to pass… On the other hand, everyone was very kind and moved their cars at 10:30 p.m. It is a shame because the spot is very good for parking and overnight stays and is close to the cathedral. Not suitable for motorhomes, only campervans. Leaving the place was no problem.
if you can't drive to this car park you really shouldn't be driving a camper. nice spot but don't know how safe it is to leave the van
Difficult access with a trailer. Even taking another route, we came up against a no-entry sign...
If you have made it this far on the EN2, access to the area shouldn't be a problem, just be prepared for an oblique turn. Area is nothing special and, like many lay-byes, scruffy. A 10 minute walk into town for the cathedral and to get your passport stamped
There is another access down bellow so you don't have to take the narrow alley, dirty and unkept by the usual suspects.
The pictures show two different parking areas. The one beside the road is very easy to access. The one with the marked parking spaces is close to the other, but you have to drive along a very narrow, winding route to get there. You cannot approach from the other direction because it is a one-way street. Both are very pleasant and close to the centre.
Excellent parking, accessible with our 7.5-metre motorhome...
As already said, the narrow road leading here was tricky but doable in my Boxer van. Very quiet night with little traffic noise.
Very nice, quiet place for the night. Charming surroundings, but beware: access through the narrow streets is very difficult with our 6-metre van... The exit is easy.
