42 Quai Auguste Prévost, 77500, Chelles
Been here?
Free street parking on the banks of the Marne, suitable for vans and motorhomes. Two 7-metre motorhomes parked without difficulty, but the space is narrow. Overnight noise comes from passing cars and pedestrians, with heavier traffic and speeding vehicles from morning. Cafés and a Carrefour City are across the river.

A spot just wide enough for a motorhome. A little farther ahead, near the park, there are angled spaces where we were more comfortable. We parked two 7 m motorhomes on a Friday afternoon without a problem. We had car and pedestrian noise while sleeping. Good option for going to Paris by train. The station is about a 20-minute walk away.
Good spot, fairly quiet at night, but lots of traffic from the morning onward, including quite a few fast-moving cars.
Nice spot by the river. Fine to park a van and quiet over night. Nice coffee spots and carrefour city just across the river.
Extremely noisy spot: cars, motorcycles and trucks constantly brushing past you... strange place.
A lovely place to take a break and have breakfast, with a great view of the Marne. The pitch is directly beside a two-lane road, so it is somewhat restless; otherwise, there are great loungers by the water and rubbish bins.
Parked a 6 m panel van during the day, everything was fine. The train station is easy to reach. €19.80 return to Paris for two people.
Great to stay the night and to leave the van when visiting Paris. Very safe. Well shaded. Parking on street. Noise from few passing vehicles. Supermarket 10 mins walk. Many restaurants very close. 20 mins walk to Chelles Gournay Station. Trains to Gare de Nord 25 mins. 10 euros return. Like someone mentioned it is better to continue a few hundred metres where there are individual parking bays.
We spent one night here before going to Paris. The place is quiet, with a park on one side and the Marne on the other. Little traffic during the night. We went 200 m farther than the coordinates indicated for the spot. Sports area nearby, no services. Shops and buses to Paris about 500 m away.
Stayed a 2nd night due to camp site been shut. Big difference in traffic noise today from early hours otherwise ideal for a stopover. If like us your heading to Paris via train it’s €10 each return from chelles gournay station. Upon arriving at gare l’est station Paris, expect an hour and half walk to Eiffel Tower. Suggest a city tour bus or river cruise if walking is an issue .
Stayed here 1 night by the river. Lovely location! Standard traffic noise by morning (expected) locals stopped to talk to us giving us information regarding trains and beauty spots. Very pleasant night indeed.
