Curral do Negro campsite is extraordinary!!! I spent six nights there and will definitely return, perhaps even stay longer than I did this time. The managers are extremely attentive, always ready and available for any situations and unforeseen events that may arise. The owner is called Mafarrico. we had the most amazing stay here. extended our stay by two nights. the owners and their son are so friendly and welcoming. the campsite is in a beautiful location with amazing views and a perfect spot to watch the sunset. the facilities were always clean and the pool was great with fresh mountain water. the owner gave us recommendations for our travels. would highly recommend this place!!!!

This site is in a beautiful area and is on the mountain above Gouveia. Leonel welcomed us when we arrived. He has good knowledge of the area and pointed out local walking routes which are accessed from the site. Toilets, showers are very clean. Swimming pool is great. One star for the surroundings. We arrived during the break. We waited with the camper in front of the gate. I walked onto the grounds to see whether there was space and was sent away. The gate was closed behind me. It did not feel friendly.✦Translating

Wonderful location, incredibly friendly owner, and sanitary facilities in perfect order. Sometimes it takes a little searching to find a good spot, but it was quiet when we were there. The pool had just been filled, so it was still very cold, but wonderfully refreshing. Top place!

For anyone wanting to switch off and live life at nature’s pace, this park is perfect. Leonel, an excellent host, gives good tips for visiting the surroundings of Serra da Estrela. We will definitely return.

What a wonderful place and friendly welcome. We were welcomed with a delicious coffee and the lovely story of how the campsite came into being. The silence is interrupted only by birds and the owl in the evening.
