Indeed, a very nice place for lunch, very quiet on this Sunday in September. Access for small motorhomes (ours is 6 m). Advice: leave in the other direction and do not retrace your route. Access to the village on foot is 400 m via the muleteers’ path.
Very narrow road, difficult for vehicles to pass each other, yet quite busy. To enter it, it is better to be going uphill toward the village, otherwise there is a sharp turn. Dangerous verges, with deep unmarked ditches. One delicate maneuver is enough to get into trouble, as we experienced. So know in advance: complicated access and very isolated for overnighting.
Very beautiful place beside a small road where people from the village pass from time to time. Below there are picnic tables on this side of the bank, and on the other side too, near the football field. Swimming is possible. There is no sign indicating that parking is restricted to specific hours, whether during the day or at night.
For volcanologists, remarkable lava columns, shade, and swimming.
Wild camping is prohibited, but parking is possible because there is no sign at this location.
Sign: wild camping prohibited.
Beautiful and very quiet spot under the trees beside the river. Six to eight spaces. Paved parking on the other side of the river for nearly ten vehicles.
Nice place for a break, but quite busy, with the possibility of swimming in the river. Be careful, narrow road; suitable for vans and panel vans.
The place is magnificent but difficult to access, with a narrow road where vehicles cannot pass each other. Avoid it with a motorhome.
