Unnamed Road, 08025, Oliena
Been here?
A quiet natural rest area opposite an archaeological-site ticket office, suitable for overnight stays and nearby hikes. The site has shade, a small bar and refreshment point, bathrooms, picnic tables and free Wi-Fi when the shop is open from 9-19. There is no mobile network, and the toilet is closed at night. Access is difficult on a poor road and is recommended only with 4x4 vehicles; no bins are provided.

Magnificent for one night in the middle of nature! Close to hikes, each one as beautiful as the next! Be careful, the toilet is closed at night.
Very quiet place to spend the night before starting one or more hikes. Lots of shaded space. Clean location. No signal except when the shop is open; free Wi-Fi. No mosquitoes but there are wasps.
Very beautiful area and wonderful views, also ideal for hiking. However, because of the poor road, it is recommended only with a 4x4. We were traveling in our own 4x4 motorhome.
Great for hiking. Wi-Fi access because there is no phone signal. Unfortunately, as in many places here, there are no bins available. We have been walking around for three days with a full rubbish bag and nowhere to put it.
Wonderful place, a unique valley for anyone seeking a wild experience away from mass tourism. Wi-Fi, food and drinks are available when open (9 a.m.–7 p.m.). Starting point for many treks or guided visits to archaeological sites; the Nuragic village of Sa Sedda de sos Carros is especially beautiful. In summer, the excursion to the Sa Nurre de su Hoda cave is spectacular too.
Not easy to access; not suitable for a motorhome. A van can make it, but slowly. Otherwise, a very quiet night. Picnic table. Recommended.
Perfect if you have a 4x4, or if you want to destroy your very expensive motorhome by driving 5 km along a hellish dirt road. And there is still no sign of the promised camper area under construction. Beware!
