9 Rue de la Douix, 21400, Châtillon-sur-Seine
Been here?
Wild parking at the Douix source beside the Seine, featuring a lit cave and waterfall. Flat hardstanding shaded by plane and chestnut trees offers peaceful nights, though young people can cause noise until 11pm and Sundays are busy. Daytime brings tourist traffic. The approach road is tricky for large vehicles and there are no services.

Lovely place for a nap and for the night. Noisy on Sundays. Our dog loved putting her paws in the water.
Very beautiful place. Quiet and close to shops. The village must once have been wonderful, with beautiful houses. At the end of the season it is quiet and several restaurants are closed for their annual holiday.
Small parking area in a little park beneath tall plane and chestnut trees, beside the Bouix spring. Very pleasant and peaceful place!
Very decent campsite near the town center. €34 for a motorhome and three people.
Level parking area; we recommend parking near the washhouse. Beautiful cave and waterfall on the other side of the parking area. Very quiet night. Shops nearby.
Level, well-located parking near the spring. We spent a very quiet night. The cave is lit at night, but it cannot be seen from the parking area. Like any parking area, it is active during the day with passing tourists. Beware of crow droppings; there are many crows and they are noisy.
Large, level space. In town, yet very quiet.
a beautiful spot with a lovely waterfall and a toilet open during the day. We had a peaceful night.
Very beautiful place with a view of a small cave, lit in the evening, and a mini waterfall. A little noisy in the evening with young people coming and going until 11 p.m., but we had a very peaceful night, lulled by the sound of the water.
Fairly level and hardstanding car park at natural attraction. One of the approach roads is tricky for larger vehicles. Very shaded.
Small shaded parking area beside the Douix River and very close to the magnificent springs. We spent one night there in a motorhome; it was lovely to hear the sound of the water. Less pleasant was hearing late and somewhat suspicious comings and goings. That is why I give only three stars. This is not a motorhome service area. Free parking.
Quiet. In the greenery beside a small river. Picnic benches next to the spring. Wonderful!
Cute little parking area. Bins available. We had a fairly peaceful night. Thanks to the municipality.
Nice, quiet place! You just should not want to sleep late here on a weekday. The school bell wakes you up early. Fine for one night.
