Via Daunei, 39048, Selva di Val Gardena
Been here?
This is a mountain parking area with excellent views of Sassolungo and the Sella massif, serving as a hiking starting point. The access road is narrow, paved and steep, while the gravel parking area is sloped, especially in the lower sections. Large motorhomes can reach it, but spaces may be tight during busy hiking periods. Parking is limited to 24h, costs 1€/30min for cars and 1.5€/30min for campers, and has no services.

Maximum parking time 24 hours. €1 per 30 minutes for cars, €1.50 per 30 minutes for campers. Very expensive and time-limited if you want to spend a night in the mountain hut. Otherwise, a good starting point for a maximum one-day hike.
The road is a little narrow, paved and very steep, but manageable even with large motorhomes (the scheduled bus passes). The gravel parking area is sloped. There is no prohibition on overnight parking, but it costs €3 per hour for campers, so €72 for 24 hours without any services, not even bins. Unfortunately, it is one of the few places where overnight parking is not prohibited. Excellent starting point.
Excellent starting point for hiking; it was even free for us!
Police officers advised it was not possible to overnight but recommended Plan de Gralba where it’s free and you can sleep overnight. For multi day hiking you can park the car.
we just have been chased tonight by 2 policemen tonight saying it s forbidden to sleep on this parking lot.
Yes it is sloped but so worth it for the view and access to the stevia hütte hike
Amazing views but only a handful of place are actually flat, otherwise very sloping
Sloped... but quiet.
It is hard to find a more or less level space; with levelling blocks you can partly sort it out depending on the spot. A lot of activity in the afternoon, but once the cars leave it becomes very quiet. Good views!
Parking area with a magnificent view. A few level spaces, otherwise quite sloped. Free at night. Quite a lot of traffic early in the morning from cars parking there because it is a starting point for hikes. Otherwise very quiet.
Wide but steep access, with long but often narrow parking spaces: it is best to avoid the busiest times for hikers. The slope is significant, even at the top, but the surroundings make up for the inconvenience. No services, with a pleasant community atmosphere in one of the few permitted spots in Val Gardena. Perfect base camp for hikes to the Cisles Alp, Seceda, Stevia and Vallunga.
