An der Umfluth, 49479, Ibbenbüren
Been here?
This is a free, grassy motorhome parking area by Lake Aa, currently offering only two rubbish bins and no other facilities. The swimming pool is closed long-term while a new one is being built nearby. The level site is generally quiet at night, although distant motorway noise can be heard, and wet weather may make some spaces unusable. The lake, beach bars, restaurants and town are within walking distance.

Unfortunately, the swimming pool is closed for an extended period; a new one is being built directly next to it. The site is currently free, and we spent three quiet nights there. Disposal facilities are available at the motorway entrance.
Spacious pitches on grass. Only two rubbish bins, no other facilities. It is boggy when it rains. Nice town within walking distance. The outdoor pool is out of use, but there are toilets at the beach bar. Good cycling opportunities in the beautiful Teutoburg Forest. Quiet at night.
Currently free. You can hear the motorway in the distance, but we had a quiet night. The site is level. Some pitches are currently unusable because the ground is softened after the rain, but there is more than enough space, even for very large motorhomes. A lake for a pleasant walk is just around the corner, with a beach bar.
We spent a pleasant, quiet night. Be careful when arriving: where the road splits right and left, turn right toward the outskirts. Otherwise you will unnecessarily drive around the residential area.
Great stopover on our way from Hook of Holland to Norway. Well kept, level and free at the time of our visit. Could hear some road noise but we were in a pop top.
28/04/26. Well laid out and super quiet at night. We were with 7 other vans. A small sign at the entrance advising FREE of charge at the moment. Recommended.
Currently this is still free. We arrived with the intention of staying one night, ended up staying for two. Great spot a short walk to the lake, where there is a small beach and bars, with loads of amazing stuff for children. Very quiet. We would have been happy to pay. Highly recommend it.
Quiet and nice place, well kept. It is close to the Aasee, so good for walking around. Restaurant and beach bar nearby. Not far from the motorway either. Thanks to the Ibbenbüren council!
At the moment you do not have to pay the €4. The swimming pool is being renovated, so its facilities cannot be used either, hence there is no charge.
Exactly as described, quiet and clean, no services only trash cans. Good access to the lake and town. On the entrances tonight these was signs posted saying the parking is free of charge, but have been before where the €4, fee was paid at the swimming pool next door.
Nice place for one night while passing through, but also good cycling and walking opportunities for a longer stay. We could not pay because the swimming pool was temporarily closed. The mailbox was open to everyone, so we could not leave our contribution.
Beautiful place for a stopover. Unfortunately, the €4 parking fee was not deducted from the €7-per-person swimming pool admission, although that was the case last year.
Beautiful, quiet place for only €4. Pay at the swimming pool and receive a folder with information booklets. No facilities except rubbish bins, although you can use the pool’s toilets and showers during opening hours.
Convenient and clean parking area. The fun pool next door is great, with a textile sauna, wave machine, flume, an over-water climbing wall, outdoor areas, and food and drinks. Open 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Pay €4 at reception for parking and use of the toilets. Lake around the corner with pedal boats and bars. Children’s park and skate park around the lake to the right. We stayed an extra night.
Thank you very much for offering such a beautiful and peaceful place for motorhomes. Within five minutes by bicycle we could buy bread and delicious pastries, and right next to the parking area we enjoyed the heated pools, sauna, and fun activities for children and adults. A beautiful and welcoming town. Thank you for your hospitality!
Very good for one night, next to a really nice swimming pool.
Beautiful place to sleep.
Great place in the countryside, and the swimming pool is fantastic, especially for children. We older folks also enjoyed relaxing in the warm indoor and outdoor water, jumping in the waves, and even using a textile sauna. The €4 is paid at the swimming pool reception.
A good place for a stopover.
Easy access to this site for all vehicles. Grass parking so could be difficult during inclement weather. Well maintained. Would use again
A place we like to visit. Unfortunately, a group of four caravans belonging to travelers has now settled here. They say they are dealing with it, but I have noticed little. A shame.
A basic pitch without services. According to the sign, overnight stays cost €4, payable at the swimming pool next door. We only stopped for a break and walked around Lake Aasee. A very nice place for a break or overnight stay.
Level grass pitch without services, supposedly only rubbish bins. Unfortunately, all pitches were completely waterlogged, and several motorhomes had clearly got stuck. We drove on.
This place is a real gem. Super-quiet spot. You can only hear the motorway in the distance, but it is not disturbing. We had a wonderfully peaceful night. You can pay €4 at the swimming pool, where you receive a slip to place behind your windscreen.
Quiet and well-maintained place with access to the swimming pool. Peaceful night, no problems. €4 per night. We would return.
a gem for e4 a night. Peaceful stop in green area. the lake offers many water activities and restaurant vertana offers a good buffet on Saturday evenings. the toilets at the swimming pool can be accessed when the pool is open.
