This is a peaceful campsite directly on the lake shore, away from the road, with a friendly welcome and well-maintained service building. The price is 350 NoK without electricity. The site is dominated by long-term campers, and the new, clean toilets are limited to two each. Access is via a single-lane road where vehicles may need to manoeuvre when meeting.

Very nicely located, €350 without electricity. Dominated by permanent campers; two toilets each is rather few, but they are new and clean. Single-lane access; passing traffic requires manoeuvring.
Apparently not welcome if you are not a permanent camper. At first, the washing machine was only for permanent campers, then it was supposedly broken. Since I had driven to a campsite solely to wash laundry, I left again, even though the location is truly beautiful and everything looked well maintained.
The site is idyllically beautiful. Many permanent campers and anglers. The sanitary facilities are somewhat limited for the size of the site, although they are always clean. There is a good atmosphere and everyone is considerate. A lovely place at Meringdal Camping. We will certainly return.
Very nicely situated in nature, with very friendly permanent campers and clean, new sanitary facilities. The price was 350 NOK (pitch plus electricity). Electricity had to be run across the entire site. Two-minute showers cost 10 NOK. The washing machine seems to be free. No dryer available!
