Forest beach stop, busy weekends

Ten kilometers of dirt road, and there is a cottage settlement right next to the parking area. The sandy beach is wonderful. The area is maintained by the Päijänne recreational area association, and a small fee must be paid for using the trees.

Really beautiful, but the car park is rather small for the demand on weekends. We were lucky to find a space. Water was excellent and there were relatively few mosquitoes.

We were there during the day. Really, really beautiful. Only one other family with tents. Toilets very clean and plenty of firewood.

Very quiet in the middle of the forest. There was nobody there that evening, with access to the beach, toilets, and a fire pit.

Peaceful area at the end of the road. The road is partly in quite terrible condition. Barbecue shelter, swimming beach, and pine forest.

Beautiful beach surrounded by a lovely pine tree forest. We stayed two nights at midsummer and everything went well. Toilets were clean, there was plenty of firewood, people seemed to have fun without forgetting manners. Parking lot was full but everyone had their space. We will definitely return.

Plenty of parking space for cars, and we slept peacefully. A long sandy beach nearby is popular with campers and tent users. Toilets and fire pits available. A small payment is requested for the trees.

The car park is about 150 meters from the barbecue area and beach. The compost toilets were full, with a pile on top. Unfortunately, the barbecue area was very dirty, so we first had to clean it.

A very peaceful place for the night. Quite busy during the day on weekends. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, but you can enjoy the forest.

Quiet place. Short walk to the beach. Volleyball net and many bbq places. The cleanest toilets I’ve ever seen. Beautiful view!

Flat parking area, very peaceful and sheltered from the wind. Beach nearby and walks in the woods. Firewood and a fireplace available for €5. Muddy ground. In November, the cut wood is piled there, leaving only two spaces for motorhomes.
