24 Vico Solferino, 75028, Tursi
Been here?
This is a quiet, sloping parking place above Tursi, with an extraordinary view of the village and surrounding valley. The parking area is suitable for vehicles about 6m long, but much of it is not level. Access is via a paved road with curves through woodland, and caves with a panoramic tower are above the parking area. The WC is available only at weekends.

Very quiet parking area with an extraordinary view above the beautiful village of Rabatana. Thirty inhabitants and some wonderful encounters. The parking area is sloping; that is the only drawback. Above the parking area, caves have been carved into the rock and are overlooked by the keep with panoramic views. Easy access; buses come here.
Stunning view, spacious and convenient parking above the village. You arrive through a forest, with a few bends, but the road is paved and easy.
Actually, this place is only a daytime parking area, as there is hardly any level ground. It is definitely worth coming here because of the Arab quarter of Rabatana. The construction site has disappeared, apart from a small cordoned-off area that is not disruptive. There is no reason to drive through Rabatana; you walk. Therefore, the note about the 1.7 m width is unnecessary.
In October 2024 this place is a construction site. Since hardly any cars drive here—the road from this point leads through the narrow lanes of Rabatana district, with a maximum vehicle width of 1.70 m—there is still room to park and turn a motorhome for visiting Tursi, but I would not stay overnight at present.
Wonderful view. Very quiet. Only the very top is level; farther down you need leveling blocks. Access only via Tursi, because getting through Rabatana is possible only with an old Fiat 500 at most.
Very quiet parking area with a valley view. We stayed one night without any problems. Sunny in the morning, but because it is on a hill, it remained very pleasant.
To get there, follow the signs for Rabatana. Beautiful view, but very busy; there was a lot of coming and going during the night. No shade in the morning.
Wonderful view, but there are few spaces and they are sunny. The bathroom is available only on weekends.
The access is unsuitable for vehicles over 7 m; three spaces are possible. The village is worth visiting, with a superb view and caves whose entrance is in the parking area.
Parking where you can sleep in complete peace. Be sure to visit Rabatana in Tursi, and do not miss the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore with its adjoining crypt, where there is a historic nativity scene. There is a toilet, and if you want to eat local specialties, you can dine at the hotel restaurant.
We spent one night in complete peace and quiet. Characteristic village with a magnificent view; the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore is beautiful. We recommend dinner at Palazzo dei Poeti.
Highly recommended parking area for visiting the village and spending the night. Quiet, with a beautiful view. Slightly downhill, but manageable.
Extraordinary view, sloping, but no problem at the front. Beautiful surroundings.
Quiet, but the only level spot is by the benches where people gather in the evening. It is inconsiderate to park in front of them. Services are closed on weekends.
