12 Fortyacre Drive, SK6 2EZ, Bredbury
Been here?
A small tarmac parking area by the entrance road to the now-closed Bredbury Hall hotel. It is generally quiet at night and suitable for one night, with good mobile reception. Dog walkers and school traffic make mornings noisier, while occasional vehicles and activity may continue until around 10:30pm.

We stayed on 15/10/13, as we have family 4 mins walk away at the end of Dark Lane, quiet until 6:00 then noisy with dog walkers in cars, doors slaming etc, and kids on way to school, settles down again at 9:00, the Bredbury Hall is now closed, so less traffic going there. There is a shop at the end of Dark Lane, turn left and several takeaways down Osborne Road all a few minutes walk away.
Spent a very quiet peaceful Thursday night here. Friday daytime also quiet, just some dog walkers but Friday at 6pm some kids in a couple of cars showed up smoking weed and playing music so I foxtrot oscared.
For Manchester this is a great spot very quite only one other van (sat night) next door is a hotel which had quite a lot of cars coming & going until about 10:30pm but apart from that a good little spot for one night
This is NOT a car park per se, it is a short dead end road that leads to a hotel entrance. At the end is a large tarmac/concrete area with room for 5 to 6 vehicles. It is a dog walkers hotspot due to more than one field. Good cell reception. Quiet at night but you will be woken by dog walkers pulling up in the morning. But for the middle of Manchester - a good solid location.
