Chemin de Notre Dame de Monton, 63960, Veyre-Monton
Been here?
Tiny mountaintop parking with breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views. Very quiet, perfect for stargazing and overnight stays. Access via steep, narrow winding road manageable for vans up to 6.5m but not recommended for larger vehicles. No services, free. Few spaces, often full.

Parking with a magnificent view. Nice little village below. Little space and difficult to access via a narrow, very steep road, but it is worth the trip. No services. Parking monitored by camera.
Very beautiful spot, exceptional view, sheep all around. Not easy to get there—narrow streets and a steep climb, but doable and worth it. Ground slightly sloping.
Incredible panoramic view. We slept there and were woken by the sheep bells. It is indeed not easy to access—the climb is really steep and very narrow—but we managed despite having a 7.5-meter motorhome. Be careful, but it is doable.
Very beautiful spot. Quite busy in the evening, but very quiet at night.
Great parking lot with a 360-degree view. Very quiet and excellent for overnight stays.
Very safe, beautiful view. Space for vehicles of all sizes and heights, but the road uphill is narrow and steep. A 6.5 m bus camper was manageable, but I would advise against anything larger. No facilities. Free, clean, thanks to the municipality.
Magnificent spot at the summit. Stunning 360-degree view. Bin on site.
Magnificent view! We spent one night, perfect for enjoying the stars.
A hell of a climb; avoid it with anything much longer. The difficult bend is obvious from all the marks on the walls. Otherwise, magnificent view. Young people came up late in the evening; unfortunately, we were unlucky last night, as it lasted until 1 a.m.
Magnificent 360-degree view. But the icing on the cake is the magnificent Madonna and Child: Our Lady of Monton, towering above and several dozen meters high! I did not expect it and was delighted to discover it there by surprise and sleep under her protection. The road is indeed narrow and very steep! I went up with a 6-meter van. I hope I won't meet anyone on the way down!! Wonderful place for the view or for one night!
Very beautiful spot. Magnificent, peaceful view for spending a night. I recommend this place.
Beautiful place with a magnificent view. Very difficult climb, not recommended for large vehicles, especially when passing another vehicle.
We slept very well there. Site with a magnificent view. Lots of people in the evening, but not bothersome. One thing made us laugh: the shepherd comes to let his animals out of their enclosure to graze among the people picnicking on the grass near the statue as soon as the parking lot is full. Visitors to this place seem to annoy him, but he is not unpleasant.
Beautiful parking area 3 km from the A75. We did not spend the night here, but stayed for a few hours to relax. The view is fantastic. The access road is steep, but it was no problem for us. Bus camper with bicycles, 7 m.
Very beautiful spot with an incredible 360-degree view. We went up with a 7.3-meter vehicle without problems; steep slope and no possibility of passing. We felt safe, and there are cameras. We were there during a storm—magnificent. We only had to leave because the wind during the storm made us sway.
Incredible view, a pleasant light breeze on a hot night. Unfortunately, young people drove back and forth by car all night.
Superb view, absolute tranquility at night. The first sheep bells can be heard around 7 a.m. We went up with a 7-meter motorhome without any particular problems, although one hairpin bend requires a maneuver. Obviously, it is completely exposed to the wind.
It is worth the trip for the view. We went up with a 7.4-meter motorhome.
