Free parking on the Giara plateau, offering open views, calm surroundings and a water point. Access to the plateau is currently restricted by a road closure, with a small parking area at the barrier and a 1.5 km walk to the plateau parking. Construction activity can begin around 5 a.m., bringing workers and machinery. The area is windy, and cats are present around the parking area.

Beautiful place with a sunset atmosphere. Many cats follow you everywhere and would even jump into the vehicle. The park ranger was very kind when we asked about staying overnight. Construction is currently underway and there is activity from 5 a.m. with workers and machinery. We saw a coach up above, so it is easy for larger motorhomes too.Translating
Free, stress-free, and plenty of space. Please take care to keep it this way. Great views, ideal for cycling trips on the plateau. The road-closed sign is just a precaution; large vehicles can also get up here without problems.Translating
Wonderful place in this nature park! The caretaker is very kind and allowed us to sleep in this very quiet parking area, with lots of lovely cats to feed if possible.Translating
Slept wonderfully with a few other campers. No problems.Translating
The road is still closed. You have to leave the car at the barrier, 1.5 km from the plateau parking area. For sleeping, the Tuili parking area is nicer.Translating
The road uphill is still closed because of a major landslide and the risk of further ones. Apparently there had been several weeks of heavy rain. Directly at the road closure there is a small parking area where you can park well and walk up to the park. We slept very well and peacefully here, accompanied by sheep bells :) The nature in this area is beautiful.Translating
We slept here last night, wonderfully. However, we were sent down in the morning because the site was being closed due to a landslide on the route.Translating
The place is beautiful, but unfortunately I fled in the middle of the night. A local vehicle came to clear the entire parking area, flashing its headlights. When it saw the light on inside, I looked out the window and it drove straight toward me, accelerating toward the barrier. I couldn't stay there, especially since I was alone.Translating
We spent one night at this beautiful place. Access is somewhat difficult because the road has an incline of about 10 percent. Anyone who does not need any services can spend a very quiet night here for free.Translating
Great for staying overnight and visiting the park.Translating
There is currently a construction site next to the parking area. Renting bicycles is no longer possible. In the late afternoon we saw many horses on the circular trail. Beautiful sunrise. Quiet night.Translating
We spent one night there. The parking area is an ideal starting point for visiting the park. Shortly after the park entrance there is a watering trough where we could watch the wild horses and goats drinking. We will come back again. Thanks for making overnight stays possible here.Translating
Very beautiful place. Very well located for visiting Giara. Water tap near the site reception. Unfortunately, at night young people from the village come to do urban rodeos in the parking area.Translating
A magical place! Very friendly rangers, sweet cats (please bring dry food for them!), and an evening and morning walk to the watering holes and horses. Thank you for allowing overnight stays here!Translating
Wonderful, relaxed parking and overnight stay for visiting Giara. A big request: the cats enjoy food! You can also leave food and/or a few euros for the cats with the motorhome resident behind the entrance; he takes loving care of them!Translating
What a magical place! It is wonderful that overnight stays are allowed here! A visit is definitely worthwhile. The landscape is unique! Wild horses, cows, goats, and many cats live up here! I stayed for two nights.Translating
I stayed alone for one night in November. Until sunset there is a tourist information office here, after which it becomes quiet. At night the park ranger drove by every two hours to check the grounds. Campers are tolerated, though. I cooked in my rear kitchen and that was no problem either. Very beautiful sunrise in the morning! The access road is paved and wide enough.Translating
Nice parking area for overnight stays. A tour of the grounds by bicycle or on foot is great. ZAPPARA MANNA offers wonderful panoramic views. Absolutely recommended.Translating
Free dirt parking area with some shade, right in Parco della Giara. We spent a quiet and cool night. Many cats come over asking for food. In the morning we visited the park to see the wild horses. No services, only a non-potable water fountain.Translating
It is nice that places like this still exist. Free parking and overnight stays at the trailhead parking area. The park is really beautiful. Very friendly rangers explicitly allow overnight stays. Please do not behave as if camping here—chairs, table, barbecue, or similar—so that this place remains available to us.Translating
Simply a great camping spot with fantastic views and wonderful walking routes. We felt as if we were on safari. No toilet and no rubbish bin.
Dreamily beautiful place. Very quiet and natural. Buy cat and dog food beforehand—the strays will thank you!
Great spot with wonderful views. Perfect for one night before an excursion through the park. Please do not show camping behavior such as using a table or awning, so that this place can continue to be used for overnight stays for a long time.
Large parking area directly at the entrance to the national park. We spent a quiet night in the silence of nature and enjoyed an impressive hike through this fairytale-like landscape, including several encounters with wild horses.
