174 Hodnabergsvegen, 5708, Voss
Been here?
This is an upper-level gravel parking area by the Hamlagrøvatnet, where campervans and motorhomes can stay overnight. It is quiet by the water, with views of the lake and partly snow-covered mountains, although the setting is industrial and dull. There are no services, and the upper level holds about 6-8 motorhomes on somewhat uneven, sloping ground. Access from Voss or Dale is narrow and challenging, but vehicles of 7m and 7,5 meters have managed it.

Expected this place to be a 5/5 so we’re quite disappointed when arrived. It’s a quiet place to sleep by the water but the location is very dull and “industrial”. If you like nature, this place probably isn’t for you. We turned back and parked by the road 5 minutes away where the environment was much more enjoyable.
A wonderfully quiet place to spend the night. You can take beautiful walks along the lake, where the sheep roam, or go on several hikes uphill. There are no facilities, and many Norwegian hikers visit at weekends. The road from Voss is narrow and challenging, but we arrived without problems with a 7.5-meter vehicle. The road is also very quiet.
Quiet spot; you cannot hear anything from the power station. Spacious place with a view of Hamlagrøvatnet and the partly snow-covered mountains. The approach from Dale is challenging, with a very narrow and winding road in places, but manageable with a 7-meter motorhome. Continuing toward Voss after a quiet night, with the power station out of service, is much more relaxed.
Beautiful view of the water. The upper row is for campers and motorhomes. Gravel surface and somewhat uneven. Very quiet.
The spot is somewhat remote, but absolutely quiet and beautifully located by the lake. The described upper level fits about 6–8 motorhomes and slopes slightly toward one side.
Very nice view of the lake. Campervans allowed on the upper level. Very quiet at night.
