Been here?
Small, calm overnight parking area near a fjord, with views of distant waterfalls and a clean public toilet with a sink. The fjord is about 50 meters away, although shrubs limit direct views, and a rubbish bin and picnic tables are available. The flat area is popular and can fill with campers and caravans, so parking space may be limited. Coming from Jondal, it is immediately after the tunnel.

Very good place for one night. Flat parking a few metres from the fjord and its beautiful views. The toilet with a sink is fine and there is also a bin.
Very nice place! Two steps from the lake, with a view of the waterfalls. Many motorhomes and caravans because the place is idyllic. The toilets are clean!
Very beautiful, quiet place. There were several other campers with us. Some waterfalls can be seen in the distance around the site. Toilet available.
Good for one night.
easy spot to spend the night over ,I would recommend it
Dear people! This is not a campsite! From as early as 1 p.m., the place is filled with awnings, chairs and tables. Simply disrespectful!!! I also enjoy wild camping, but this is unacceptable. Because of you, everything will soon be prohibited. Respect the locals and the tourists who simply want to have lunch at such a place.
Nice little parking area not far from the fjord, with a clean toilet. Unfortunately, the place was already full when we arrived, so we parked in the large lot in front. We could hear the river more than the road, but we were also behind a small hill at the end of the parking area.
Quiet place. Toilet is clean. Caught a large fish in the fjord. Ideal.
Okay place, clean bathroom. Some other campers parked taking up a lot of space instead of trying to optimize it as in a normal parking lot. We were lucky to find a space, but two campers who arrived after us had to leave. Please park properly so there is room for others too! Thank you.
We stayed here for two nights on June 6–7, 2026. The place was well filled with motorhomes and campers. Toilets are cleaned daily. Picnic tables available. The fjord is within walking distance.
The place is great but quickly becomes overcrowded and starts looking like a campsite!
Beautiful place, very quiet. 50 metres from the turquoise fjord. Bushes block a direct view of the water. The toilet is open again!
Very beautiful place with a view of the fjord—a large pitch for several motorhomes/caravans (about 8–9). Seating benches available. Waste disposal available. Unfortunately, the toilets are currently closed, hence one star deducted.
Clean bathroom and spacious area. 4 large campers and 2 smaller ones. There’s two benches when the weather fits. Great spot
Great spot with a nice area for motorhomes. No water or electricity, but very clean toilets.
Slightly out of the way, toilet, flat, one of the only car parks in the area where overnight stays are permitted.
Peaceful night with 4 other vans and motorhomes. Clean toilets, fjord just two steps away. Perfect spot!
We spent a quiet night alone. There are facilities, but they were closed because it was still the cold season. We were able to fish.
Perfectly fine for one night, very quiet. Toilets currently closed.
Great spot for spending the night. Clean, well-maintained toilets. Very quiet and right beside the fjord, with views of the waterfalls in the distance.
Very quiet, clean toilets. Great for one night.
Very good parking area for one night. There is a clean public toilet.
Good parking area for one night in a quiet location. Others used it to hike to Trolltunga the next morning.
Wonderful pitch in beautiful surroundings. Just a few metres’ walk away there is a great view over the entire fjord—simply go to the water. Clean toilets available.
Toilets were extremely clean, and there was a beautiful view of the fjord after walking a few metres. At the beginning of September, 14 vehicles stayed overnight between this and the upper parking area. Nevertheless, it was very quiet.
Plenty of space, flat, clean toilet available as is often the case in Norway. No noise, but no view. Not a problem ;O)
We had a very pleasant stay in this parking lot in September when it is wasn't very crowded. It wasn't very noisy and we felt very safe, it was also free of charge. We didn't use the facilities but seemed fine. There isn't just much to do locally but perfect for us. The parking lot isn't very big but we had no issues with a 23 feet long motorhome, it was also paved and flat.
Great place to relax, with a bathroom. The surrounding walk is also very beautiful. It was almost full when we arrived. Please park parallel so everyone can use the space. And avoid camping behaviour so this does not become another prohibited place.
Great! We arrived at 7 p.m. and it was the last space. Adequate toilets, picnic tables and bins available.
Nice, level place for motorhomes and vans. The toilet was exceptionally clean and there was an option for disposing of rubbish.
Great place, but people should not behave like louts, taking up three parking spaces with one car and putting chairs in other spaces and camping.
Quiet at night; the van-dwellers have taken over the place, so the noise level is accordingly high.
One toilet, relatively clean. Bins available. Far away off road so not noisy, can hear a stream nearby. Lots of campers… arrive before 5-6pm to get a decent spot. You can spend the afternoon by the fjord nearby
Had an amazing night at this spot with 7 other campers! Even though the bathrooms were closed, the place felt super safe and peaceful at night.
Very clean toilet, relatively quiet night once you get used to the sound of the waterfalls, attractive pitch. Fishing is NOT allowed here. It is a salmon spawning protection area all year round.
Very small parking area with excellent toilets! Quiet at night, but fills up quickly!
The designated rest area fills up quickly. Be careful: you cannot park on the asphalt area beside the road, before the indicated location. We are less than 150 m from a house whose resident repeatedly reminded everyone of the rules several times a day. This area is reserved for trucks only. However, the gravel section is permitted, according to the resident.
A bit too much parking, but well located and convenient. Very quiet despite the many campers (more than ten).
Outrageous behaviour: electricity from the toilet is being used with an extension reel to power a cool box. Others put out chairs and tables. No wonder all the sites will soon be closed.
Very nice picnic area, we spent one night here. There is one toilet only, but even tho there were 8 vans/motorhouses, you could find it easily free to use. As mentioned earlier, it was quite packed, but during night there was peace and quiet and therefore it was okay to share.
