1-5 The Quays
Been here?
A riverside quay that was suitable for overnight parking, but it is currently a construction site and the road is closed. The area may become a pleasant place to visit once construction is complete. Nearby businesses include pubs and a fish-and-chip van, but parking is not currently confirmed.

A great little park up on the riverfront and a very good fish and chip shop in a Mobile Van at the end of the street couple of good pubs in the area nice safe secure park up. I’ve done lots of videos on the area you combine them at the channel.
I popped here 28/5/26 to see if construction is still going on & it is. It will be a lovely place to visit once it’s complete. I couldn’t see any signs as to when it’s due to finish. You might be able to park up along the wall next to the waterfront on main street but not 100% sure. Anyway the place is a construction site at the moment so probably no point.

We stopped for lunch; great place. Apparently, it is possible to spend the night here.Translating
Stopped for lunch. Delightful quay with few cars and plenty of space. Recommended. But didn’t stay overnight.
Fine parking area if you want to visit the village. We spent the night there, but there was quite a lot of traffic until late. So this is not the quietest place to stay.Translating
Good spot along the quay to park up, very quiet night.
Parked up by the slipway. No problems overnight. Room for a few vans. Great haddock and chips from Jonny’s Ranch van. Good quiet spot to watch the river wildlife.
OK for a night if you were desperate but otherwise there's better places nearby
Beautiful heritage town safe next to water on the old quay was a wool town and nearby old wool warehouses good food and pleasant
I would not park here! Car blowing the horn and shouting at us straight away. At 2 am we woke to a car right at the back of the van, revving and blasting music, we turned on lights, they continued. We felt very unsafe, I had never driven the van, my husband had had a drink, with no option I drove out the road we found a hotel car park, left early morn, I won't be visiting this area again.
