A practically flat parking esplanade at the abandoned Valle del Sol ski resort, with plenty of room and spectacular mountain views. At 1400m, it has fresh air even in hot weather and is a base for hiking, including Mencilla peak. The mountain hostel and bar are closed, although children’s activities currently take place there, with 40 noisy children staying. A fountain is 200m away toward the picnic area.

Lovely place and plenty of room. 1400m above sea level so fresh air even when it is hot. The auberge is closed however open to children’s activities so we have 40 noisy children staying there. Perfect for them!
Perfect site. The mountain lodge is closed and probably does not open often. Three cars parked, presumably hikers. We will do the same tomorrow morning. There is mobile coverage: 5G! Fountain 200 m away toward the picnic area, on a drivable track. 2°C in the morning, and fog!
Incredible place. Very beautiful, with plenty of opportunities for hiking and more. The problem is that there is no signal anywhere in the valley. And I do not understand, in this day and age, why there is no...
A beautiful road to get there, beautiful mountain scenery, and everything needed for an excellent, peaceful night. We were alone. The next morning, we went hiking. Great!
