Perfect night. The Gaudies trail is nice to do, a 6.53 km loop.
We did the short hike when we arrived and spent a very peaceful night. A very pleasant setting with the river right next to it. Excellent if, like us, you have a four-legged companion!
Very pleasant village; the Hers river allows swimming. There is a spring-water fountain on Rue de la Mairie. Starry night without streetlights after midnight—truly excellent. The place is very well maintained, and you can picnic under the shady trees.
Pretty village beside the Hers; we stopped there easily. The river is very popular.
Well-located parking area beside the Hers, ideal for one night. In midsummer it is popular with local young people, who are very respectful. There is a lovely little hike of about 6 km.
Arrived yesterday around 9 p.m., exactly as described, with a friendly welcome. We slept well, lulled by the gentle sound of the water. Superb place.
Absolutely impossible to spend the night there! We arrived after a very difficult drive through an extremely narrow street. It turned out to be only a few car-parking spaces. Moreover, there is a sign saying that overnight stays are prohibited! Having a picnic by the water should be fine if the spaces are not already full of cars.
