Glendowan
Been here?
A quiet, sloping parking area behind a national park, with a great view. A relatively flat place can be found for sleeping. It is a good starting point for an 8km hike to the castle and provides a very peaceful overnight stop.

Had a great sleep here. Extremely quiet and pleasant. You can find a relatively flat spot. We had no problem with the midges.
Good wild pitch, slightly sloping, but at nightfall the midges arrived by the millions and it was impossible to open the door. Something to take into consideration.
Sloping ground, but it is perfectly possible to park and sleep comfortably. A timeless spot where you feel alone in the world! Be aware that it can be cold and there may be midges.
