Been here?
A free gravel-and-soil rest stop near a quiet road, suitable for about 2-3 smaller motorhomes or vans. The parking is relatively level, shaded and generally peaceful, with a signposted circular hiking trail and restaurants nearby. Water and waste facilities are beside the bus stop on the main road, but the water may not be suitable for drinking and the services are basic. A bakery and pastry shop is 1 km away uphill, while the river bathing beach is 600 m away.

We spent a quiet night here, very calm road and safe area. Relatively levelled parking lot on gravel/soil. Fits 2-3 smaller motorhomes or vans. Only downside are the very basic facilities, located right next to the bus stop on the main road. Water did not look suitable for drinking (rather discoloured).
Free service area with water and waste disposal. Close to the motorway.
Level parking, but close to the river. Dirt and gravel surface
We didn't stop overnight as there are prettier places nearby. The waste and water are by a bus stop nearby. There is a small parking spot off the road there, but only for one van. It was fine for us as we are a small van and there was no traffic around. Might be tricky in bigger motorhomes when the roads are busy. The facilities were functioning, but very basic and not the easiest to use.
Spent a quiet night here. Despite heavy rain, the lightly gravelled surface holds up well even for heavy motorhomes—ideal for an overnight stop.
Simple place. Free. Perfect for passing through.
Shaded pitch beside the road. Not many cars pass, so the parking area is fairly quiet. The ground is quite level. The waste-disposal and water-filling facilities are about 100 metres from the parking area and are not particularly well equipped.
Service area right beside the road, very practical, with a short detour from the A25. To fill with fresh water, you have to keep pressing the button. The parking area is slightly higher up and shaded by trees. We stopped to use the services and have lunch. Highly recommended.
Perfect for a short stop. We felt very safe and slept very well. Quiet and pleasant place with a bin provided. Thanks to the municipality for this place.
wow, that took a veeeeery long searching - because the GPS point was totally wrong. the water point is ON THE MAIN ROAD: 40.686355, -8.158152
Super peaceful place, with few cars passing on the road. Shaded and surrounded by vegetation, it is just perfect. A few dogs barking in the background.
Unmarked parking area on dirt. It appears quiet. We will see how the night goes here.
We arrived at night just to empty the black-water tank, but we could not because the drain was blocked, with whole pieces of faeces and a bad smell on top. It is a shame that the village provides facilities and then tourists do not look after them. The sleeping area is very welcoming. In daylight it must be a very beautiful area. As an improvement, the grey-water drain should not be so close to a bus stop.
Waste disposal at the crossroads. The camper parking is signposted, but 100 metres up the road on the right; partly sloping.
Perfect for spending the night and taking a beautiful hike. Impeccable facilities for filling and emptying. Quiet night.
The service area itself is great and deserves credit for existing. There are roosters and barking dogs around, but in Portugal we are used to that. Unfortunately, we were there on a Saturday night when there was an extremely noisy party nearby, ending at 2 a.m. with even more noise: shouting pedestrians, cars speeding off, horns, and so on.
Shaded area during the day, but it is only the parking area. The grey-water emptying and water-filling area is down at the crossroads by the bus stop. There is no hose, only a screw-thread adapter. It was more than sufficient for a service stop. Hopefully there will be many more places like this.
Unmaintained service area; the advantage is the shade. Vehicles under 3 metres fit beneath the branches. Fairly quiet during our visit.
Very quiet little service area. Two or three shaded spaces. Services downhill next to the bus stop. Thanks to the municipality.
