Been here?
Free parking and utilities (electric, water, waste) by Saint-Georges-sur-Cher village. Shops including bakery and supermarket 100m away. Area fills quickly and is close to the road; close spacing means awnings face neighbors. Sunday market with local products, church visit, and riverside walks along the Cher all nearby.

Thanks to the mayor for making this motorhome area available to us. We spent just one night with electricity, without taking advantage, as a stopover to visit Chenonceaux. We enjoyed the local shops, which was very pleasant, and of course it is only right to support them.
It is impossible to park in the area with a motorhome and trailer.
Perfect area for spending the night. Thank you to the municipality. Electricity is free, which is unfortunate because it creates significant costs for the municipality. If you own a motorhome costing €70,000 or more, you can afford to pay for electricity. Red card to those who stay several days just because the electricity is free.
Spacious, with free water filling and waste disposal!
Excellent area for spending one night, but beware: the pitches are arranged so that you end up eating under your awning facing your neighbour, which is rather awkward when you don’t know them. Apart from that, there is a bakery and small supermarket 100 m away, and you can fill up with water. So: one night, service stops, shopping, and off you go.
Love this stop for passing through. Free electricity, with a bakery and small supermarket within 100 m.
Nice area, shops nearby, free electricity, and very friendly municipal employees. I made some lovely connections. I’m very happy with the seven days I spent here and will return.
Well-designed motorhome site with electricity and facilities provided by the municipality. If the official motorhome area is full, you may park in the car park. A bakery and small supermarket are 100 m away. On Sunday morning there is a market with local products, among other things. The church can also be visited. Across the road, there are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling along the river.
The area fills up quickly, but various spaces are available in the adjacent car parks. All shops are nearby.
Area with many pitches but close to a major road. Shops are right next door, which is convenient for supplies.
Very nice area close to all shops. Walking toward the port, you can take a beautiful stroll along the Cher under the trees. Thank you to the municipality for thinking of us.
Beautiful area, with all facilities. Road nearby. Pleasant village.
Great place. Chenonceau can be reached by bike. Supermarket and bakery around the corner.
Very large car park where you can spend a quiet night. Few spaces in the motorhome area, but you can spend the night in the car park in front without any problem; we asked the bakery for confirmation. Small local shop next door, and the croissants are excellent. Bins and recycling at the back of the car park. Waste disposal and water filling available. Thank you to the municipality.
Quiet night; the nearby shops are very convenient for breakfast. The public toilets are clean and not far away.
Beautiful large free motorhome site. Fourteen official spaces, but plenty of room in the car park in front. Do not park on the grass. Bakery and supermarket 100 m away. All services available.
Thank you to the municipality; good small local shop.
Very beautiful, quiet area with free electricity. The bakery has excellent pastries and chocolates too. Thank you to the municipality for this lovely place, which should be preserved.
We arrived and there were no spaces left, so we slept outside. The road is extremely audible, with heavy traffic.
Thanks to the mayor and councillors for this free motorhome area. The butcher sells very good-quality meat. The bakery makes excellent bread and pastries.
Great place, if you want a place, you need to come before 3pm. After that , it is full. yes the road is closed by but it didn't bother me. I was lucky I came just 5mns after 3pm and I had the last spot. Thank you to the town for this place and we should be grateful even if it is near a road, that the town is welcoming us. We don't see this often.
We were lucky; there was one space left. Free electricity. Close to shops and very clean public toilets. A minor drawback is the proximity to the road. Thank you to the municipality for keeping it free and the town clean.
Too close to the road. Shops nearby. Free electricity, which explains why it fills up quickly. Given the location and lack of spaces, we went farther on. What a shame!
Thank you to the municipality.
Area with ideal pitches, free electricity, and water filling and waste disposal available. Shops right next door—a bakery and supermarket—which is very convenient. Thank you to the municipality.
The only area where electricity is free. Thank you. Space for 12 motorhomes. Parking is limited to seven consecutive, non-renewable nights during winter, from 01/10 to 31/03, and seven consecutive nights, renewable twice, during summer, from 01/04 to 30/09. Besides the shops, there is a market under the covered market hall on Sunday morning. Really good.
Very practical area. All services and shops are immediately nearby. Free electrical hookups. Thank you to the municipality. Ideally located for visiting the Loire châteaux.
Thank you to the town for allowing motorhome travellers to stop over with shops nearby. Great for visiting the Loire châteaux.
Have to admit this is a nice aire, with everything you could need close to hand. However the added bonus of free ehu is too much for some and there did not seem much chance of anyone moving, even next morning. We parked in the carpark next to the aire, not strictly by the rules but I did speak ti the baker and he had no problem with it. We spent in Carrefour & Boulangerie.
Excellent parking area, even though it is close to the departmental road. Thank you to the town hall.
Fantastic aire, all the services you need. Local shops, cafe, restaurant etc lovely walk through the village. Thank you for providing such a wonderful Aire 10/10
Overcrowded, with a fairly noisy nearby road. The spaces in the official motorhome area were “reserved” during the Christmas period for some imaginary motorhome club.
This is the third time we’ve come because the location and services are genuinely excellent. We do have one small suggestion: installing a pizza vending machine when the one in town is closed could be useful. But we’ll be back. Thank you to the town.
Thank you to the municipality; everything is thought out and explained, except the rubbish bins. Read the signs above the bins carefully! A second excellent bakery is located at the village exit on the left, about 1 km away. The bins opposite the motorhomes are black bins; the yellow large containers for recyclables are by the disposal point. Thank you for respecting the site’s good organisation.
Great place, not far from Chenonceaux Castle, with a small supermarket, a small Sunday market, bakery, florist, and more. One of the few places where electricity is free. One hundred litres of water cost €5, and the token dispenser is directly opposite.
Good spot for a quiet night, I recommend it.
Area with beautiful stabilized pitches and free electricity, close to all amenities (market on Sunday morning). The only downside is the very busy road nearby...
Area right next to Chenonceau Castle, with several shops 50 m away (bakery-pastry shop, butcher, Carrefour Market, florist, tea and coffee shop). Free electric hook-ups! Wastewater and cassette disposal. To fill up with water, you need to buy a token. Honestly excellent—thanks to the town of Saint-Georges-sur-Cher.
Excellent camper area just 5 minutes from Chenonceau Castle, with free electricity, spacious, clean, quiet and flat. Arriving early in the evening helps find a free spot. Recommended for visiting this area, especially since nearby campsites are all closed in October. If every municipality offered this kind of service, everything would be much easier.
Lovely motorhome site close to several castles. The site is very tidy, with spacious pitches and free electricity. A small supermarket, bakery, butcher and an excellent Bib Gourmand restaurant are 100 metres away, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner at a reasonable price. We stayed here for a few nights and had a wonderful time.
Great flat, well-equipped spot, near the bakery and small grocery store. Free electricity, many thanks to the municipality! For water, get a token from the machine near the disposal point.
Many thanks to the municipality for this lovely free area. Bakery, butcher, delicatessen and small grocery store just steps away.
Beautiful pitches with free electricity. Close to shops: bakery, butcher, grocery store and florist. Thanks to the municipality. A little noisy tonight.
Thanks to the municipality for this lovely area, with everything you need. Good shops, a bakery, butcher with excellent specialties and a beautiful florist. Too bad this is not available in more places.
Very nice spot, shops nearby and, to top it off, free electricity. Many thanks to the municipality.
