Been here?
A small, flat picnic-area car park beside the canal, suitable for a peaceful overnight stop. The canal provides walking, cycling and canoeing opportunities, with an orchard and picnic tables nearby. There are no facilities or bins, so visitors must take their rubbish away. Trains can be heard, and the narrow approach is better suited to camper vans than large motorhomes.

Arrived around 11, one other van parked up, left at 9. Nice and peaceful nights sleep. Flat to park up. Not far off the motorway, perfect little stopover with a quick walk along the canal before getting back on the road.
Lovely quiet spot found last minute right next to canal. Thoroughly enjoyed more than enough room for LWB campervan little train spotting bridge round the corner. Nice little paddock with apple and cherry trees. Be mindful no bins take your rubbish with you
Pretty good stop over for an evening and morning. Well situated with pretty surroundings, main downsides are the train track quite close by that you can hear and power lines not too far away. Also as another commenter suggested it's definitely a one evening and done place, people set off on walks hikes and cycles from here so need the space. Good 4g
Very quiet night on our own here tonight. Enjoying the tasty apples from the community orchard next door. Walking the canal path tomorrow. No facilities or bins so be clean and self sufficient
Fine for a night in transit, but I wouldn’t want to outstay my welcome, it’s a small car park.
spend a calm and quiet night here, can hear the sound of trains, but it's not too loud and doesn't affect my sleep. The village road to enter this place is relatively small, so it is recommended for campervans, I think not suitable for large RV.
Arrived at night so it was a bit tricky to drive alongside canal before getting to the entrance but wasn't too bad. good flat spot, there were several other campervans so felt secure. Several picnic tables were a nice addition.
Very nice little Spot, no traffic the only noise is from the trains but even that's not too bad and it's right next to the canal
The spot could be really nice if it weren't for the 2 car wrecks and rubbish scattered all over the ground. One of the picnic tables is damaged. What a shame. We are stopping for a break but not staying.
Really nice little place to park up for a night. Very peaceful and a lovely canal walk
Lovely quiet car park 10 mins off M4. No views but right on the Canal.
Nice place to spend the night. Quiet and full of wildlife
Nice spot next to a canal quite apart from the trains every hour or so.
Beautiful little spot! Don't be misled at the swing bridge. It looks like the road just ends there and sat nav was asking me to go left onto the cycle track. The friendly man who lives on that corner assured me that there was indeed a little car park down the cycle track, just behind the trees. I'm so glad he was there as I'm now both in the most gorgeous spot plus I feel welcome by the locals:-)
As others have said a great little stopover felt very safe and in a nice spot. Down a single track road but take it easy and no problems. Would definitely use again
Delightful. Only two other campers there, one SUPs often. Lovely walk down the canal, lots of wildlife and occasional train. In the morning saw a family of swans. Had a bizarre interaction with two locals with dogs off their leads, asking me to take my “stool samples” with me. I told them I had a toilet in the van and they said height barriers will be going up. Let’s get most use out of it then!!
