A small forest clearing provides a very quiet, shady overnight spot, with birds and occasional planes overhead. Access is possible with 2WD only from above, but the route requires good ground clearance and suits vans or 4x4 vehicles. There is no 4G reception.

Great quiet park up, just birds and the occasional plane overhead on way to Athens. Shady spot to hide from scorching heat. Only saw one car the next morning. We came on the gravel track through the village and there is one part which could be tricky if you don't have a 4*4. So tranquil after the chaos of Athens, great place to reset.
Beautiful spot. You only hear the sound of birds. The road to the place is very doable!
Absolute peace and quiet, not a single walker or sound. Access is possible with 2WD. We arrived from above and continued downhill the next day, so there was no problem; it is all downhill and the track is in fairly good condition. There is a little 5G in the middle of the clearing. Non-potable water is available at the chapel 100 m farther on.
Fantastic, peaceful place in the middle of nature. Coming from above/from the south via the paved road (very narrow!), through the Agios Merkourios chapel, the track is rocky but passable, although I still would not recommend it for 4x2 vehicles. From below/from the north, via the Prophet Elias chapel, the track is in worse condition; do not attempt it without a 4x4. Best avoided in the rain too. No mobile coverage at all.
