Quiet forest-edge site, noisy traffic

Beautifully laid-out, level gravel pitch for a more than reasonable €9 per night. Many thanks to the municipality of Windsbach. This is what a reasonable price-performance ratio looks like, especially since the Wildstrandbad is right outside. Only the fresh-water information is confusing. The water point says €1/80–100 litres, while the price list in the glass case says €2.✦Translating

First of all, many thanks to the municipality for this site! After the second night, they even cleared around my motorhome so I could drive down the hill without problems. The site is modern, the machine works very well, electricity at the pitches must be paid for with coins, and fresh water also costs money (but works in winter!!). Chemical-toilet and grey-water disposal are included in the price. €9 per night. The site is on a hill, and the bend at the entrance is very tight and steep; my 6m motorhome slid quite a bit. It is better to use the exit, as another motorhome did.✦Translating

A wonderful motorhome site with excellent water and waste facilities. Located directly on the edge of the forest, perfect for walking the dog or hiking. During the two nights I stayed, it was not completely quiet because of constant train horns.✦Translating

A nice motorhome site, wonderfully quiet outside the swimming season and fortunately only sparsely lit. Good hiking opportunities, and the Gasthaus Rezatgrund serves delicious regional food. Very pleasant! The payment machine does not accept cards (foreign ones?), only coins!✦Translating

Beautiful, sunny and quiet site. The pitches are large; even 8 metres fits there. Anyone without a traditional debit card (Girocard) must pay cash. The new Visa debit cards are not accepted by the machine. This urgently needs to be improved.✦Translating

Apart from the drinking-water price of 5 litres for 10 cents (€40 per cubic metre of water!), it is a good site. It is also incomprehensible that water at the small motorhome site in the municipality of Windsbach costs €1 for 100 litres. Are two different standards being applied here? If so, I do not think that is right. So there is nothing else to do but fill up with water first at the “small site” and then go to the “large site”.✦Translating
