Canal-side stop, motorway noise

Perfect for a meal or rest stop. Very pretty, but indeed a little noisy because it is very close to the motorway.

only us here, nice spot by canal but also only 50m from motorway. Ok if you can sleep through the drone of traffic. Access road lots of big puddles and a few pot holes but passable. Footpaths across fields plus towpath lovely for morning with herons and other birds in area. Truckstop that allows all vehicles for breakfast close by if you dont want to cook your own. Overall ok due to mway.

The motorway was extremely loud. We are normally not sensitive to noise, but this time it was far too loud for us. A small weir on the canal behind the site also makes a loud, continuous rushing noise.

Great spot for a bit of stealth camping. Great views along the canals the is no bin so please don't dump your rubbish or we will be stopped coming here

We are here now. when you turn left off the main road it's a bit bumpy and a slight drive down the long road..when you reach the canal it has a large area where you can park. you can hear the motorway but other than that it's peaceful. a few dog walkers this morning.

lovely park up right next to the canal lock. mostly used by boaters when moving their boats and cars. not a single car or person came in all night, and I didn't leave till 11 am. the following morning. lovely walks along the canal to penkridge, etc good phone signal. would be a lovely spot in the summer to watch the boats

A bit sketchy driving down a pot holed road in the middle of the night. Over the motorway. tucked away. Great spot completely isolated a slow hum of constant traffic from the M60 but overall a good night sleep would stay again.

Very, very dirty... rubbish everywhere. We did not stay... Avoid...

Out the way for sure, next to the M6 so lots of traffic noise. Good phone signal. Nice views and walks down the canal
