Campingplatz Ideal

A very nice campsite. Unfortunately, a little expensive for my taste. The pitches by the river are very beautiful and have direct access to the river. There is plenty of space, electricity and fresh water, and the staff are very nice and helpful.

Nice little site directly on the Eder. We stayed only one night (one adult plus one child under 6 = €20 including electricity and shower). Deducting points because there is no gray-water or toilet disposal. We used the parking area in Hemfurth near the Eder dam instead. According to the guide, disposal is available at the station in the next town, but that was not on our route.

Very nice little site, clean and tidy, very quiet, friendly staff, small kiosk, and bread-roll service. Toilets and showers are spotless and included in the price, as are water and electricity. Pitches by the Eder cost €10 more; two adults with a motorhome paid €45. Online booking possible.

Small and charming, exactly to our taste! Top-notch sanitary facilities! Very friendly service! After a long bike ride, we were served a wonderfully chilled Bosch Pils in a pre-cooled glass... wonderful!

Very idyllic, very small and manageable, close to nature. Very friendly welcome. I had a cup of coffee in my hand before I had even properly registered. The pitches directly by the river with a view of the water cost more (€45 per night, one person, one van). Showers, included in the price, are warm—not new, but clean and functional.

Simply wonderful! A beautiful, natural site with super-nice operators and staff! We felt very comfortable!

If you like peace and quiet, cleanliness, extremely friendly owners, a small but very tasty kitchen, spotless sanitary facilities, good showers, nice walks, cycling routes nearby, a shop half an hour away on foot, bread-roll service, a refreshing river, beer on tap, and helpful people—in short, I would gladly give an extra star if I could. We will be back ⭐

Absolutely wonderful!!! We had lovely days at this small but excellent site! Andre and his colleagues contributed greatly to making us feel completely at home! The pitches are large enough. The sanitary facilities were clean, the beer delicious, and the atmosphere very relaxed. We will definitely come back and say thank you.

Perfect for us (two people with a rooftop tent). A lovingly run campsite, nice owners, clean albeit older sanitary facilities, free showers, bread-roll orders for the next morning, and close to the water—everything for €30. We would happily return! (We were not on the tent meadow.)

Perfect for a short stay. Nice operators, easy online booking. The sanitary facilities on the tent meadow are not ideal, but those on the main site are extremely clean; showers are free and hot!

€40!!! For one person, a camper, and a dog for one weekday night. The “pitch” was a narrow passage between a hedge and a sports field, with active football training. Canoeing and swimming at the site were impossible because of the strong current, gravel banks, and vegetation. Beautiful cycle paths and the opportunity to walk the dog. Nice and laid-back operators.

Nice quiet site, friendly new operators. (No waste or sewage disposal yet.) Rather expensive; we paid €40 per night.
