Mountain parking, light overnight traffic

Very nice and flat spot! Little car traffic during the night! We were woken by cars around 7:30 a.m.

April 5, 2026. Peaceful and very flat, out of season, with tables and walking trails nearby.

Quiet and spacious place.

Quiet, flat and spacious parking area at the pass. No one else in the parking area tonight. Cars arrive in the morning for hikers. Magnificent view of the Pyrenees. Bins available. Beautifully starry night.

Relatively flat parking area beside the road, but not much traffic. Right next to the cross-country ski station (closed).

After looking at the places in Ax and the rather negative reviews, we took a chance at Col de Chouila and are honestly very happy to have spent a night here, with pleasant scenery and level ground. Several motorhomes and converted vans were present, but there is room for everyone. In short, I recommend it.

Very good place for a quiet night. If you want Wi-Fi, you need to move closer to the restaurant; it is free. No water or electricity, but close to a short walk. I recommend it.
