Been here?
A quiet lakeside campsite with open meadow pitches, optional electricity and a beautiful 8 km hiking trail around the lake. Online booking and payment are available, but there is no staff and the reception kiosk appears closed. Toilets and showers work, though some facilities can be dirty or out of service; the kitchen is also poorly maintained. A recent stay cost 300kr for a camper without electricity, and external guests can make the front area noisy.

Beautiful location. You can stand wherever you like, with or without electricity. Excellent walking route around the lake. Toilets and showers available and working perfectly. Sometimes people make a mess, which the campsite cannot always prevent. For us, absolutely fine!
Positive: the location, but that is all! Many pitches are uneven. Some sanitary facilities were not operating or were broken. Everything was neglected and dirty. Not recommended! 300 SEK for two people with a 6 m panel van.
Online booking was straightforward. Basically a nice place. The sanitary facilities—three shower-toilets—were truly awful. They were extremely dirty because of the number of guests. We had a spot at the front that was unfortunately quite noisy in the evening due to outside visitors. Fine for one night, but we probably would not return.
300kr for camper without electricity. We spend one night here. Nice place next to the lake. We choose this because of fishing. did not catch anything. nice shower, clean toilets. there is a kitchen, but not very clean, did not used it
Idyllic, quiet, and well maintained. Loosely occupied. The sanitary facilities are clean, but some are not in operation.
Beautifully located by the lake. We booked and paid online. The reception was unattended. There was one other guest besides us. Two usable washrooms were fine for this. Okay for one night.
We paid 420 kroner (?!) for a rickety campsite. There are three showers/toilets; one has no working light, one toilet does not flush, and one tap keeps dripping. The kitchen is dirty, smelly, and has no hot water. Since everything else was full, unfortunately we had no choice but to stay here. Far too expensive for what you get! The only advantage is the lake.
Beautiful location by the lake, where you can walk or hike all around it. The facilities are poor, dirty, and impractical.
A beautiful place, but run-down. Construction machinery, two toilets/showers that are only cleaned by the guests themselves. One has no shower curtain. No rubbish disposal either, just a small general-waste bin. Reception/kiosk unattended. We did not use the water or wastewater facilities because they looked overgrown and disgusting. We got a flat tire here because of the construction work.
Perhaps beautiful in summer. We were here in the off-season. No electricity, and we did not want to use the showers. Even using the toilets required considerable effort.
We stayed here for one night. The place is quite nice; you can park wherever you like, with or without electricity. Everything is basically available, but very run-down and somewhat grubby in our opinion. The lake and view are great, though. Paying by credit card was no problem.
This parking area was definitely not nice. At the moment it resembles a construction site, with excavators everywhere and the ground torn up in various places. Various building materials are lying around. Not a pleasant view in either direction. The sanitary facilities are basic and clean. Toilet disposal was available.
350 kr for toilets and showers in cabins that look as though they have not been cleaned all year! The two stars are solely for the location.
Very nice place, nice view, calm. I would come back again in this campsite. Maintenance in the toilet and kitchen is lacking for five stars.
Conveniently located. Nice parking area by a beautiful lake. Fresh water and toilet disposal available. Small, run-down kitchen building, dirty sanitary containers, unattended reception, run-down cabins—what a shame. Electricity available at the pitches. Online payment: 300 kroner. Completely overpriced. Keep driving.
We were there on June 25, 2023. Beautiful location, but that is all! Not clean and run-down. We did not want to continue driving late in the evening, so we stayed the night. After this disappointment, we had a wonderful breakfast the next morning at Grön Ko Café & Saluhall, Brovägen, Säffle, which opened at 11:00 on June 26, 2023.
The location is great and you could make a good campsite out of it. Three toilets, one of them locked. Clean is another matter. Reception and kiosk unattended. The service building is run-down. Too expensive for what is offered.
Great views and good hiking trails by the lake, directly from the site. No staff present; payment is online. The dishwashing kitchen has everything needed—stove, microwave, pots, etc. There are three bathrooms, but one is locked; they could be cleaned more often. Fresh water and latrine disposal available. It is okay here, but more could be made of it.
A quiet place with a great view and beautiful surroundings. We loved the cable raft on the hiking trail. It is quiet here, and you can swim comfortably in the lake. Unfortunately, it is obvious that little effort is currently being put into the facility. Some buildings need renovation. The sanitary facilities are only moderately clean. At 395 SEK, the site is therefore too expensive.
The best things about this place are the view and the lake. There is an old building where only the dishwashing kitchen is still functional. There are two toilets and showers, but one is locked. There is no holder for the showerhead and no curtain, so everything gets wet after showering. Payment is via a QR code at the unattended reception.
I honestly don’t know why we paid €30. I feel quite ripped off. Only 1 shower/toilet open. No warm water, shower leaks throughout the whole cabin, toilet didn’t flush. No drinking water. No kitchen. Tried to contact the owner and Campation; no response from both. The camp site has an amazing location, fun geocaches around, hence the 2 stars. But I’m really disappointed in the facilities.
Including taxes and fees, you end up paying 320 kroner, which is at least 100 kroner too much for what is offered. Electricity is available only at the back on the slope, so you must choose between being tilted with electricity or level without it. The three showers are catastrophic. There is not a single holder for the showerhead and no curtain. The only reasons it gets two stars are the hiking trail and the lack of an annoying barrier.
Perfect place stay if you looking for a quiet, calm and close to nature location. Nice parking close to the lake with electricity, you stand wherever you see fit. Beautiful sunset and magnificent full moon in clear skies. Playground for kids, the beach are clean with a pontoon bridge which facilitates bathing for both adults and children. Fresh and clean toilets. Definitely on our favorite list.
