Free overnight parking from 6:30 pm to 9:00 am, ideally located for visiting La Rochelle, with the harbour a 3 min walk away. It is suitable only for vehicles up to 2m high and 5m long, and is paid during the day. A drinking-water fountain is 20m away, with a beach shower 100m away and free toilets nearby. The nightclub opposite can make nights very noisy, especially before holidays and at weekends.

The place is really nice, with free toilets nearby and great access to the park, but I do not recommend doing what we did and staying the night before a public holiday or on a weekend… otherwise the nightclub opposite the parking lot will make for a restless night.Translating
The parking lot and all other parking areas nearby are only allowed for vehicles up to 2 m high and 5 m long! Otherwise it would be great! However, we did not risk trouble with the police and went to the official motorhome site.Translating

Not a dream spot, but we slept peacefully there on a Tuesday night without any problems (vehicle under 2 m high and under 5 m long, a T5 campervan).Translating
