Been here?
A flat, calm parking area at Peuil bog, suitable for a quiet overnight stop and the start of hiking trails. The approach is very narrow, mountainous and tricky, making it unsuitable for many motorhomes. A pasture is now beside the parking area, with protection dogs that may bark when you arrive; there are no bins, water or toilets.

We had a very good night on this flat parking area! A pasture is now right next to it, and the guard dogs will bark at you when you arrive to determine whether you are a danger or not. Respect the shepherd’s work; do not approach the dogs or the flock!Translating
Very quiet place. Too bad we cannot see the sunrise. Perfect for one night.Translating
Perfect place to spend one night, apart from a few hikers who parked late in the parking area. We had a good, quiet night with another van nearby.Translating
Fantastic spot, quiet and beautiful. We have a 7 meters van plus trailer so we had to take up two spaces. The route up is very narrow and tricky but well worth the effort. Great hiking trails.
Amazing spot and beautiful hiking trails :)
Peace and nature guaranteed! Fairly level parking area, nobody around, beautiful view. Walks can be taken around the nearby nature reserves. Beware, not recommended for motorhomes because the road is very narrow and mountainous. No bins, no water, no toilets.Translating
Accessible and completely renovated parking area, with access to a hiking trail through the peat bogs—a lovely walk! Quiet, with very little traffic on the adjacent road.Translating
Parking area closed for construction on April 12, 2024. I forgot to check for how long, sorry. However, it does indeed look nice… but I could not spend the night there, and probably neither could the other vans I passed on the way up.Translating
Arrived at night, quiet and flat. No access problems. Thank you.Translating
Beware of the small hole on a slope at the parking entrance. We arrived in the evening and there was nobody there; the next morning, a few hikers’ cars arrived, but they were very friendly and respectful.Translating
Beware: the recessed drainage crossing for rainwater must be destructive for long vehicles with low ground clearance, as already reported! Do not go there—there is no chance of avoiding it or reversing…….. First gear, second gear, first gear, second gear… a winding mountain road suitable only for fairly short motorhomes, but with no branches. Absolute peace and quiet, not a single bell-wearing sheep for us!Translating
We spent one night at this spot; it is very quiet and beautiful. There is no trash bin, but that is not a problem—we will dispose of our rubbish later. Good goat cheese is available 2 km from the parking area.Translating
