Beware of an easily overlooked notice; without obtaining the chip, there is no exit after 5 p.m. When we professionally tried to remove the fire-service posts, the owner, who lives opposite, appeared and threatened to call the police. When we politely pointed out the missing contact details and mentioned unlawful detention, he sheepishly opened the barrier without charging us a parking fee.✦Translating

Nice place, close to the pleasant town center with shops, cafés, and restaurants. A 3.5 km walk to the viewpoint over Lake Biggesee. We did not need electricity or water and were allowed to spend the night at the motorhome pitch for €2.50. The place is not suitable for sitting outside sociably, but there are plenty of terraces in the town center.✦Translating

Great for passing through; everything is close by. Very cumbersome registration and departure, which must be done during the Atta Cave’s opening hours. In the evening, after the cave closed, the entrance barrier was also closed, so it was no longer possible to access the pitch. These inconveniences mean we only stayed here once. Close to the town; in season, you can take a tourist train to Lake Biggesee and continue on foot or by boat.
